Lei is a fairly tiny girl, standing no taller that 4”7 she can often be confused for a younger age than she actually is; especially due to her frame. After a diet of noodles and vegetables she has an extremely slim, almost childlike body and a very agile demeanour, however it doesn’t stop her from being the klutz that she is.
As she from an Asian background (a Chinese father and half Chinese mother) she has almond shaped eyes which are of a colour quite a bit brighter than her classmates. They appear to be a bright brown which stands out from the delicate features of her face.
Her hair is mousey brown and reaches to about shoulder length, it’s not particularly neat not hideously messy even though it gets a good brush; she enjoys putting bright coloured cute clips and ribbons in the sides.
To add to her childlike physique she doesn’t enjoy wearing sexy tight jeans and revealing tops, she’d much rather wear a pastel-coloured dress or a hoodie and a pair of poofy shorts.
On the outside Lei appears to be the typical shy teenage girl who lusts after boys’ way out of her league....but that’s only one side of her.
With people she hasn’t met before, she’s extremely shy, going bright red and shovelling her feet around the ground while directing her eyes to the floor. With friends however she is very different, being very energetic and smiley; doing whatever makes them happy. This trait led to her being a bit of a doormat by people who weren’t interested in being a true friend, using her as a lunch caddy and making fun of her to make themselves feel better. In fact with many people it went as far as bullying as she has no backbone, she always kept a smile on her face however; not because she was strong but because she’s a naive and gullible girl.
On the other hand, she often didn’t make such a great lunch caddy as she has very poor balance and often dropped the food, down the stairs, backwards, over a school tortoise but always tried her very best. However when focused on a task she can slice the giddy girl personality and become more serious, silent young lady.
Like most girls she gets crushes on multiple guys she meets, but in this respect she takes it to a psychotic level. She becomes obsessed with the person she’s ‘in love with’ to the point of becoming a world class stalker. Taking photos of them in their daily pursuits, bugging their house and stealing underwear is just part of the equation. She is the type of person who would collect their chewing gum from under a table to make a harry potter style love potion. The products of these activities can be found in a colossal shrine in her room, which she enjoys decorating and buying candles for.
She believes she is assisted in these pursuits by an army of gnomes all named ‘Fred’...whether these gnomes exist or not is an entirely different matter.
As well as been a giddy klutz she is also a scaredy cat, often struggling with her nerves and becomming very anxious from sudden noises or scary movies.
As a child she was terrified of the 'monster' under her bed, leading to her practicing her running away skills. First in the garden and then in atheletics class at school. Strangley, even though shes picked up speed in her legs she has hardly any strength in them, mostly due to her overexerting herself when running.
She does pick up a very useful trait from her late mother, and that is her brains. Shes extremely intelligent and when she has enough time she can make the most brilliant future plans, on the otherhand if there isn't another person there to push her in the right direction she often makes mistakes in the spare of the moment. However she is often a top scorer when it comes to written tests.
HOBBIES: Stalking, shrine building, playing the violin, snuggling cuddly things, playing with friends

Lei’s life began when Chinese-American Harvard student Laura Yu met Chinese private piano tutor Heng Ming during her time abroad in the city of Qingdao. The two fell deeply in love and begun on a whirlwind romance after she moved in with him, giving up her degree in Chinese Studies to become a stay-home wife for the man she loved.
This resulted in Lei being born to very proud and loving parents, who cared for her more than anything else. Sadly, when Lei was just 5 years old her mother passed away after being involved in a fatal car crash, leaving her to be raised by a single father. Mr Ming was a kind and humble man, who although devastated by his wife’s loss, carried on keeping a smile on his face to keep Lei happy.
As a child growing up under the care of Mr Ming she was subjected to the many martial arts movies of Bruce Lee in addition to classical music. Although he wasn't born in China anyone who claimed otherwise would meet a handfull of scorn from Mr Ming, who believes that Mr Lee is the model Chinaman for all Chinese men. Mr Ming would go through many interesting, yet insanely humourous, mid life crisis moments where he would pretend to be a martial arts expert; taking out a lampshade in the process. A young Lei used to find her father most funny, joining in, believing the whole thing to be a game of some sort. In the process she used to end up practising her punching abilities from 'Sifu' Ming (dad).
She got on very well in her quiet city suburb and was really popular in her tiny school, however the tranquillity also had its downsides; her father was struggling to find piano pupils and was beginning to struggle keeping food on the table.
To combat this he made the difficult decision of moving to the centre of Beijing with his daughter when Lei was 11 years old, where he would have better work prospects.
The fact Lei grew up in such a tight-knit community began to take its toll when she started at a dauntingly large inner-Beijing school. She hadn’t learnt how to deal with people who weren’t as kind as she would’ve hoped, and was easily taken advantage of by these new city-slickers while she made her best efforts to be their friends.
Since she grew up in such a close community she was very poor at being able to introduce herself and make a good first impression; leaving her scatty and nervous.
Although she was happy enough where she was her prospects rose after a bulling incident went horribly wrong for the perpetrators.
One day her ‘friends’ spotted an advert for Shibusen in the local mall on their way home from school, and came up with a brilliant yet cruel idea. They believed that Lei was weak and dumb (even though she had been completing their homework to A* standard since she started there) and that they would be accepted to Shibusen and become heroes within no time at all. This is why they decided that it would be fantastic when they succeeded and she was embarrassingly rejected. They convinced her into applying with such kind words as ‘you’ll do great!’ and ‘there’s no way you wouldn’t get in!’ all the time they were giggling and plotting when she wasn’t around.
Finally results day, to their surprise out of the four of them, Lei was the only one to be accepted, leaving the others devastated and simply mind-blown. At the time she wasn’t seriously considering going to Shibusen and was more worried about her ‘friends’ sadness.
Her father sat her down and talked about his wife, convincing Lei to give this great chance a go and follow in her mother’s footsteps; a Shibusen graduate in the E.A.T (Especially Advantaged Talent) class.
After this talk with her father she is determined to walk in her mother’s footsteps and meet plenty of new friends, and so, leaves for Shibusen...
Since she is an extremely new meister she is unaware of her abilities as of yet but is sure to discover some as her skills develop.
STRENGTHS
WEAKNESSES
*She considers stereotypical scary creatures terrifying, such as spiders, scary monsters, werewolves etc. On the otherhand she is not so scared of humanoid monsters, such as the kishin ashura, zombies or ghosts (and may even tease them for looking funny), which is most likely to do with them having a human face; something she can recognise and see. Monsters such as mummies or fiends with masks, however, are on the scary scale again, she assumes that because she can't see their real face and because they're hiding it that it must be horrendous and beyond scary.
Her loyalties lie with Shibusen, partly because of her mother and father, partly because she wants to feel what the black squishly part of Shinigami-sama feels like.
(Also I'm very sorry but I experimented with eye colour in the pics, her real eye colour is the red-brown found in the first few images....sorry)

- Extremely fast mover, can outrun most enemies
- Swift puncher
- Small, good for hiding and ambushes
