MAIN USERNAME: Azmara
ROLEPLAY-ONLY
CHARACTER NAME: Azmara and Lahnah Shura
RACE: Human
CLASS: Demon Weapon
ADVANCED CLASS: N/A
AGE: 18
GENDER: Female
APPEARANCE:
[Azmara]
Azmara has a very devil-may-care sort of beauty; the kind of attractiveness achieved without even trying. She has long dark brown hair, pin straight and always either worn down or in a loose bun tied off by a ragged black scrunchie, it is seldom ever brushed but it falls perfectly with little effort - thankfully as she would probably never look after it if it didn’t. Her rounder face clearly shows her Asian heritage along with her small nose and ears, and plush lips. Though lovely, large, and brown, her eyes sparkle with determination and sometimes rage that’s difficult to comprehend even for her. Her skin tone is pale, as though she’s never been in the sun, though she spends all her time outside, it’s apparent she burns before she tans so if she isn’t seen looking like a sheet of paper, she’s typically red as a lobster.
Azmara is very short, only standing at around 5'2, however her body is lean and muscular, proving that size truly doesn't matter. She has a small chest (proportions are 32B) and athletic torso which has two old scars that run like claw marks from the middle of her left side to her spine, and one exactly the same on the right that trails from her side to her belly button. On her back between her shoulder blades she has an emblem of a spider brandished into her skin, though she tries her best to keep that covered most of the time, too embarrassed of her past.
Azmara really only wears one or two articles of clothing, she’ll dress in the same unwashed, blood stained outfit over and over for days before washing it at times, especially during missions. Her favorite garb consists of a white mid-drift –obviously cut from a regular t-shirt in order to look like this- black suspenders attached to a black spandex mini-skirt, red converse boots, and black cloth gloves worn nearly to her shoulders with elaborate steel elbow pads and red biker gloves over her hands.
[Lahnah]
Lahnah is completely different, from the way she stands to what she wears. Her eyes lose the stubbornness and gain a sense of compassion and unyielding sorrow, so unlike Azmara that most can tell the change in personality just from the eyes alone. The alter also carries herself in a more refined manner, her steps are smaller and quieter, and her shoulders are more hunched.
Lahnah wears modest, simple clothing; her favorite being a delicate white summer dress with a pink bow laced through the collar and brown gladiator sandals strung up to her knees. She doesn’t seem to see very well, and is actually quite blind, therefore she has a pair of fashionable maroon glasses she wears when out longer than a few minutes. Neither of them ever wears any jewelry except for a necklace with a thin silver chain and a small amethyst gem dangling from it in the shape of a tear drop.
PERSONALITY:
[Azmara]
Azmara has a choleric and obstinate personality that makes it hard for people to be around her at times. She has a tendency to become self-absorbed, especially in team battles, and easily becomes frustrated when things aren’t going her way or if someone becomes a weak link. Though outwardly she’s has a bite-me attitude and appears to dislike everything except eating souls, she’s a ruthless perfectionist. Everything she does she attempts to do to the best of her ability, pushing forward with impeccable determination and energy.
When made angry, which is unfortunately not terribly difficult to do, she loses her top and becomes a loose cannon, screaming and flailing about recklessly; however in fits of rage everything changes, she becomes quiet, deadly, and precise, in the past she resorted to this tactic by reminding herself of hurtful memories until she became so livid this mindset was achieved.
If she isn’t fighting or mad, she tends to remain disinterested or pessimistic about everything. In truth dissociating and pushing away from people is her defense mechanism, she’s afraid to expose her heart to anyone and will go out of her way to be recalcitrant in order to avoid it. However, she’s fiercely loyal to the few friends she does keep, even to the point of death or killing humans if they are what stands in her way of her loved ones. Azmara is known to ignore her conscience and do whatever it is she feels is necessary, sometimes this is a good thing and other times it only furthers her from the rest of the population.
[Lahnah]
Lahnah is almost exactly the opposite of Azmara. She has a refined and timid nature unlike that of her host’s noncompliant personality. There is a deep and uncontrollable sorrow within her that keeps her constantly in a state of submission; but she still struggles to keep Azmara from behaving in ways she shouldn’t, acting as her “conscience” in order to protect both of them from being hurt when her stubbornness gets them in trouble.
The alter hates fighting, and as an embodiment of this disgust, she does not have a true weapon form but instead transforms into a common oriental fan made from lace. Though Azmara doesn’t particularly like her alter –she feels that DID makes her weaker- Lahnah does not return the sentiment and typically goes out of her way to be compassionate and forgiving. The same goes for nearly everyone else, save for those who abused them.
As such, Lahnah has a beautiful heart, she’s thoughtful, smart, kind, and selfless. She loves animals, nature, reading and writing, but has a very hard time using technology. It also appears as though she has a talent for art and can often be found painting with whatever materials she has at her disposal or sketching in her notebook.

***ABILITY NAME: Kaze-Katta
***TYPE: Active
***STRENGTH: Inept
***KEYWORDS:wind,range, razor sharp
***DESCRIPTION:
Kaze-katta is a simple but deadly wind cutting technique that is achieved when Azmara is brought down in a rapidly paced diagnal slashing motion and the wind gathered from this is then thrust at an opponent in the form of a razor sharp half-mooned disc. The windy blade itself is as big as the ark of the slash created to make it, meaning if her meister's arm only went from her ear to her hip, the blade will be approximately 21/2 feet in length. Unfortunately because of it's inept strength, as of right now Azmara is only capable of one of these formidible blades once every 5 posts.

Support Abilities
***ABILITY NAME: Partial Transformation
***TYPE: Active
***STRENGTH: average
***KEYWORDS: transformation, cat-claws, melee
***DESCRIPTION:
When activated, Azmara can transform her hand partially in order to allow her cat claws to slide from the two middle knuckles of her right hand. She can only access her cat claws and not the fan.
***ABILITY NAME: Tailwind
TYPE: Passive
STRENGTH: average
KEYWORDS: speed boost, soul wavelength
DESCRIPTION:
Azmara's soul wavelengths is constantly creating a tailwind around the body of her meister that boosts the speed of whatever forward motion is being made by 4mph, whether it is running, jumping, or punching. Meaning if they are running at 8mph the wind will increase that to 12mph with no cardio effort on the technician. The downfalls to this ability is the headwind that comes with it. All movements in a backwards motion are decreased by 4mph. Also, the tailwind will always push you forward no matter what shape your body is in physically, so if someone were to run to their limits, the wind will not stop simply because of this, which can and will lead to severe issues like broken bones, torn muscles, and ripped tendons on those not physically fit enough to weild Azmara.

EQUIPMENT: An amethyst necklace given to her by her father for her birthday the year he died.
LOYALTY: Shibusen
KEY ATTRIBUTES:[/center]
Strengths:
oSpeed: Azmara is built for speed and agility, from her small chest to her 5'3 frame, she is as lithe as she is for a reason. This makes her a formidible foe even when she isn't with her technician.
oLower Body Strength: Due to how much running she does, she has developed a very powerful lower center of gravity, making her kicks devistatingly controlled and strong.
oMelee:Though Azmara may have a fan shape that allows for a ranged attack, it is clear that she specializes in melee.
Weaknesses:
oHeadwind: The ever present headwind caused by her tailwind ability, as explained above, lowers her meister's speed when moving backwards in any motion by 4mph which could be devistating in a battle should wind trajectory vs. speed of their body not be adjusted appropriately in an instant.
oBlind Rage: Azmara is extremely prone to rage even at the slightest aggravations in a fight, do to instinct and impulse literally beaten into her as a child. When these fits of "blind rage" occur she is completely overwhelmed and becomes dangerous to herself, and to her team mates as well as her enemies. She will completely red out if it's bad enough and her controlled and exacting nature is comprimised by the mad flailing about; if she's in her weapon form she will leave her technician and insist on fighting the cause of her anger on her own. Reason is left behind entirely until she's calmed down.
oDID: This is possibly the most frustrating weakness to Azmara and her Meister. Lahnah, Azmara's timid and peace-preffering alter, will often times come out when she believes that the situation in a fight is getting out of hand. Unfortunately Lahnah does not have a weapon form and instead transforms into a usless oriental fan made of lace. This of course can become an enormously annoying and embarrassing situation for meister and host. Especially when Lahnah refuses to switch back for them.
oPoor Strength: Though Azmara has great center of gravity in her lower body which allows for powerful kicks and quick, agile moves, she has fairly poor strength all together in terms of fighting and would definitely lose in a battle of strength.
HISTORY:
Azmara was born in a small village in Japan located in the Hida Mountains, leagues away from larger civilization. Her father, Hiro, was a farmer and her mother, Kitsu, was a home maker, raising her and keeping her father well mannered. Neither of them were anything special but she was happy with what she had, except of course her chores which included looking after the horses, milking the cow, cooking with her mother, and helping her father with the less strenuous farming tasks. She went to a tiny school house once a week, with 10 other students from the ages of 5 to 13 but she wasn’t interested in making friends like the others were, instead she spent all of her time with her father or playing by herself in the forest.
When she was 10, however, everything changed for the worse. The quiet country life she lived turned upside down, taking from her all knew in an instant and forcing her into an unthinkably evil future…
Azmara was half a mile from the village, picking berries with her mother and enjoying the cool mountain air when screams were heard and smoke rose from the distance. In a panic Kitsu demanded that her daughter run into the forest and hide while she returned to find Hiro. Her mother took off on horse-back, leaving her with only a few words of wisdom, “Be strong Azzy, but don’t be reckless…and never give up.” But of course Azmara didn’t listen, instead she ran after her in blind fear, terrified that she’d never see her parents again. It was too far away though and by the time she arrived, the village was burning to the ground and bandits were roaming the streets, rummaging through the belongings of her perished loved ones.
Too guffawed to hide, she stood in plain sight and was quickly picked up by the thieves, one of which immediately gained an interest in taking the youth as his wife. Though the pedophilia was somewhat looked down on by the others, Azmara saw her chance of survival and pleaded her case, promising to sell her life to them as their servant and to take the man’s hand in marriage. Ultimately the decision was handed to Lilith, the frightening leader of the raiders, and surprisingly she agreed to the arrangement, sparing her life but not before warning them that her future actions would determine both their fates.

She spent the next 2 years of her life as the wife of Gordon Haboush, a loathsome and abusive drunk who only cared about booze, gold, beautiful woman and her berry cobbler.
6 months after the raid, Azmara was laying alone in a pool of her own blood…
Gordon had beat her an inch from her life when he came home from pillaging a village and she hadn’t finished dinner yet, when she failed to do the things she was told in the time she was told to do it in, it embarrassed him and thus she was punished for making him look bad. This was the process she had learned and lived by.
Broken and hopeless, in the dark of their tent that night, Azmara found a protector. A voice emerged from the depths of her subconscious and bathed her in a song her mother used to sing. It gave her strength to drag her body outside so that someone would see her, but that was as far as she could manage before she passed out.
When she awoke she was somehow completely healed, but the voice was still there, like a soft siren, soothing her with gentle words. “I’m Lahnah…you won’t be hurt again Azzy. I’ll protect you.” It whispered, and for a dazed moment she sounded like her mother. Lahnah never left after that night, she stayed and kept her company, talking to her when she was lonely, assuring her when she was let down, and guarding her in times of abuse.
[atrb=border,0,true] [atrb=style,float:left,true] |
The voices were at least a dozen men talking about a mutiny; normally Azmara wouldn’t have concerned herself with it but the man they wanted to make their new leader was the most despicable of all the bandits in the camp, and worse yet he was always harassing Gordon to give her up to him. She knew that not saying something to Lilith would only make her life more miserable.
Azmara made it to Lilith’s tent in only a few moments, and was surprised to find that she wasn’t in her bed, only to be held against her will with a knife at her throat by the she-bandit. By the time she was able to warn her of the mutiny, however, several arrows came through the side of the pavilion, and were followed by 15 blood-thirsty men headed by their wannabe successor, Hunter.
Unarmed and barely prepared the two girls didn’t stand a chance, but then the unbelievable happened. Azmara was engulfed in a white light and suddenly appeared as a very uniquely designed double-bladed cat-claw on Lilith’s hand, in just enough time for her to block Hunter’s killing blow. The supernatural transformation won them the battle and ended in all of the men being punished for their crimes or killed.
After the attack the guards came to see what all the commotion was about, and once they were appeased, Gordon appeared. The drunk was unsure of whether to be angry or embarrassed as he tried to explain to Lilith that his wife had disappeared during the mutiny, only to be told that she saved her life and would be made Lilith’s partner from then on.

At one o’clock Lilith brought Azmara to a lea in the forest to train…
Azmara asked many questions as they stretched; confused by everything that was happening to her. She was told that she was a demon weapon and that if the time came that Shibusen were to try and bring her to Death City, to refuse. She was also made to believe that it was an organization that destroyed lives and taught its students to kill for fun. Seeing that she was appalled, Lilith explained to her that they could stop such organizations together, and was quickly led to understand that she could become more powerful with a technician who could wield her and that Lilith would be that person.
Shortly after explaining all of this, Azmara smiled in excitement, earning her a swift punch to the face and Lilith explained that showing emotion was dangerous in the middle of a fight and so in order to learn to be indifferent in the face of tribulation, she was no longer allowed to show any of her feelings except for anger or else she’d be beaten.
[atrb=border,0,true] [atrb=style,float:left,true] |
Lilith had decided change the usual patterns of things by taking on a mercenary request offering a large sum of money. At first things were going great, the men were revved about the opportunity, preparations were going smoothly, and the overall outcome seemed undeniably in their favor. That was until word leaked out that they were to kill every man, woman, and child that came across their path and that they were not permitted take prisoners, have any of their usual perverted ‘fun’, or steal anything. Even that wasn’t a problem it was the reason why that caused their men to become nervous; the village was said to be cursed, and the target they were searching for was in fact a witch.
In Lilith’s tent, she and Azmara were planning their next move, when Lilith told Azmara that she wanted to try something she had read about in her book and was curious to test. She explained that she never believe that it was possible to consume a soul to make a demon weapon more powerful, but since meeting Azmara she had been tempted to try it. Azmara was appalled by the idea but before she could refuse, Gordon rushed under the pavilion in order to tell them that a mysterious madness had come over the entire camp, leaving the horses screaming and their men swinging their swords wildly about at nothing. Over a few seconds even Gordon himself was overcome by something they couldn’t explain and began to laugh hysterically. Azmara went to check on what was happening and found it almost impossible to breathe under a terrible presence of evil looming over them.
She was joined by Lilith shortly afterwards who explained the phenomenon as the Demon God, Asura’s powerful wavelength, and then proceeded to explain that their target could not escape and they would need to go down to the cursed village on their own despite Asura likely being somewhere in it. Azmara reluctantly agreed and the two entered the town in search of the witch.
Shortly afterwards, madness fully overcame Azmara’s senses and she was unable to resist the urge of insanity at last. She began to hallucinate sounds like metal scraping stone but when she tapped Lilith’s shoulder to ask if she heard it too, the woman turned to reveal not Lilith…but her mother. Baffled Azmara guarded herself, thinking it was a trick of the witch or the demon god, but moments later the scraping noise became louder and they were joined by her father who was dragging a bloody katana over the cobblestones.
Terrified but blinded by her desire to confront her parents, lucid thought had left her and she wholly allowed herself to believe they were real, falling into the madness headlong. Azmara questioned why they never looked for her if they were alive, and cursed them for letting her live three years in hell believing they were dead. The response to her anger, however, was not a warm embrace but a full on attack from Shu, her father. Their battle ensued for several agonizing minutes, during which Azmara frantically tried to defend herself without hurting her father, but after asking Kitsu the questions that most burdened her heart, she realized they were not who they said they were. In her moment of enlightenment, Shu was preparing to land a death blow and, without a choice, she caught the blade with her hands and proceeded to drive her blades through her father’s stomach.
Desperate to find Lilith and rescue them both from the madness before they were too far in it, she declared that eating the soul of whoever she just killed would give her the strength she needed defeat the imposter Kitsu before it was too late. Unfortunately after eating the soul and taking the power for herself, her mother noted that it had been unwise and Azmara looked down only to find that the hallucination had made her believe that she was fighting a man when in fact it was Lilith. It was explained that she too had been hallucinating, leading them both into a fight with each other that ended in Lilith’s death and her soul eaten by her own weapon.
[The following is a direct excerpt from my fanfic]
The girl staggered backwards, appalled, and clenched her stomach, “What? How…Lilith.”
“Oh don’t fool yourself Beautiful, you hated her; just like you hate me, your own mother. You want to kill everyone right? The men at camp, Gordon, me…even your poor father, but then that’s what monsters do…they kill and then they feast.”
Azmara continued to back up, horrified, “No! That’s not true! You’re not my mother, you don’t know anything!”
“Oh but I am, Darling. In fact...I’m the witch you’ve been trying to murder.”
“NO! YOU’RE LYING! My Momma was killed by bandits 3 years ago and she wasn’t a witch; she was a human!”
“Wrong!” She chimed cheerfully, and abruptly disappeared, only to reappear right in front of her. “I never went looking for your father, silly child. That man was dead to me, a pawn in my experiments that unfortunately lead to you.”
“But…you were so-“
“Motherly? Kind? Tender?” She cooed, mockingly.
“Y-yes...”
“Hm, yes it was definitely my best act yet. I really must applaud you for a moment though! Lilith was quite the pest after I paid her to wipe out our village! I told her to kill you but she didn’t and then I find out from her a week ago at the witch’s council that she had not only disobeyed her orders, but she’d also taken you on as her demon weapon! I was quite upset you see! But you made Momma proud today!”
Her facial expression instantaneously went from perky to pure evil, “unfortunately not proud enough.” She added.
Several things suddenly came into light for her as she stood there with her mother’s rancid breathe coating her nostrils. One, her mother was a witch and had ordered her entire town to be purged along with her own daughter. Two, Lilith had also been a witch, which was how she ended up miraculously healed the night Lahnah was created, why she was sneaking out at night the last few days and also explained how she was able to sense her coming the night of the mutiny. Three, there had never been a mercenary mission to begin with, Lilith was scared for her own life and was looking to kill her mother before the same was done to her. She was a coward all this time, and she had fallen for it, blindly believing everything the woman told her. Four, nothing Lilith had ever said could be trusted, and she’d just eaten a soul under the impression that she could.
Feeling worthless and defeated, Azmara stared lethargically into her mother’s eyes and sighed. “Is nothing I have real?” She whispered as though coming to grips with the idea.
“No nothing, Love. Not your heritage, not the life you had, not even the desperate delusions of grandeur you cling to. You are nothing but a monster, the daughter and tool for witches…you deserve only to be punished, you do not belong in existence.”
“I deserve it…” The youth murmured, gazing back down at the ground and allowing her cat claws to slowly retract. A malicious grin crossed the witch’s lips again as she nodded in agreement, “That’s right, let me end your misery now before you kill again.” She purred as claws of red light protruded from each of her fingers.
Something overcame Azmara at that moment and she grabbed the witches hand, her brown eyes staring intensely at her mother’s, “You’re right I do deserve it, Momma, but not from you! You’ve killed thousands more than I have, you’re also a monster! My death by your hands will only be playing into your twisted plans!” With that Azmara punched the witch in her gut and extended her cat claws through her flesh, killing her the same as she’d murdered Lilith, only this time her eyes did not waver from the woman who destroyed her life.
“You f-forget about the demon god…Asura will kill you, you bitch.” These were her dear mother’s last words as she collapsed in a pool of her own blood.
“Probably.” Azmara muttered, flicking the crimson liquid from her blades and staring over her shoulder at Lilith’s corpse. “You were right about the power Lilith, your soul gave me plenty…but it’s not the sort of power I wanted. I’ll find my own path, without you…but thank you for showing me that no one can be trusted.”
[atrb=border,0,true] [atrb=style,float:left,true] |
Determination drove her to rummage through Lilith’s belongings until she came across the book she was always reading, a map, her guns, her journal, and a pack to put it all in, and then she headed out, unsure of where she was running to or what she’d do when she got there, but determined to figure it out.
[atrb=border,0,true] [atrb=style,float:left,true] |
All this established, Azmara mapped out where Death City would be and set out to find Shibusen in the hopes of receiving a chance of repentance or else rightful justice of her crimes[/font]
