A cold chill from a September, and a spine chilling scream was the nights bell toll for death. The yelp of terror from death would send a chill of ice through any man’s spine. It could even make the grave gasp with shock. Another wind howled through the town, like a hissing serpent, and the scream finally went silent; like a child being put to bed. But little did the people of this town know what evil’s lurked within the streets, and what the scream of this child really meant. All sleep, dreaming of dreams that would sooth the heart, expect the unfortunate family. The family that was attacked by a Kishin Egg, and on this night, met a ghastly, unfair death. A family cut short as easy as paper on scissors.
The Kishin had declared the drums of war. Minons and followers of his madness seeped like acid upon the world. Gruesome intentions, horrifying creatures, and insanity followed where ever the kishin saw fit. Decaying the sanity upon the world. Time was like a clock that slowly ticked the life of heroes away, and in due time the whole world would be plundered of hope. If some one didn’t take action, and put a brick wall in front of the kishin’s plans, then life as humans knew it would be only a illusion of what could be. A mere whisper.
T-t-t-tick, T-t-t-tick
Kekekeke. Master Kishin shall be pleased with Grimm, that he will.
His voice was a slick with a hiss, like a serpent. Within the dark room, a creature that was once a man crouched like a ball within the darkness. The darkness that smothered the body like a blanket was like a endless oblivion. A rolling in the deep, like a dragon wrestling in the sky cracked in the distance. The creature instantly looked towards the crack, only too put his attention back on the floating souls in front of him. Another hazey laugh, perked with bloodlust echoed in the room. His slender, bony digits would reach out towards the souls, giving a gentle nudge with his finger. A giggle of demonic orgin came from his belly upward. Oh my, my, my. Kekekekee. Grimm didn’t very well, very well indeed! Master kishin shall be so pleased with grim that he will give grimm praise, oh yes he will the storm grew closer, for with the crack of lighting, a light drizzle started. From the light of the cracking lightly, the vision of the once man, now creature was clearly visible. His face was as of a dark green slime. In fact, his whole body was like that. Giving a drip, drip, dripping sound, like the sound of blood every time he moved, it was almost like a Hollywood creature. The creature would take a deep breath, sniffing the air around him like a hound dog. His scarlet crystals shined through the darkness. With wide eyes he spoke. They must’ent find Grimm, oh no, they must’ent!
The creature was on the run, from Shibusen! The creature that called himself Grimm would jump out the window, shattering the glass as he fell to the ground. The three souls of the slaughtered family would be inside a bag that he carried along side his slimy arm. The fall from the drop didn’t effect him. With only a second pause, grimm would run through the alleyways, backyards and anything that could possibly get whoever was tracking him away. Oh yes someone indeed was tracking him, he could tell from the scent that followed him. Jumping over fences, turning into alleyways, he saw a shadowed figure always following close behind him. A mere outlined shadow, with a lens flare when connected with the grinning moon. Grim would grin his teeth, cursing whoever was chasing him underneath his breath. Grim continued to repeat his duty underneath his breath, the commandment of the kishin.
Finally finding a straightway path, he made quick headway. Grim has finally made it, that he has! he whispered to himself. His direction heading towards what would seem a open corn field. However, he came to a sudden halt when the shadowed figure would come from what appeared the sky, right in front of the creature. Clouds would block all but the eye of the grinning moon as the shadowed figure would slowly stand since he landed with a crouch. The creature would give a yelp, his scarlet orbs on the shadowed figure. With a snarl, he gripped his bag like carrier that contained the souls of the innocent. “How dare you get in front of Grimm and his Kishin Sama! How dare you indeed!” the yelp was followed by a slurping sound from his mouth, taking what appeared to be his over grown tounge and swirling it across his face. “If you get involved anymore, Grimm will have to rip you alive piece by piece, that he will! So let me p-p-p-p-p-pass too his master!”
Crack
The clouds had yet to move from the spot, blinding the moon. However, the flick of flames was clearly noticeable; along with the long sound of a inhale. The tip of a bud from a cancer stick would be like a little red laser dot. The clouds would then slowly start to move out of the moons vision, casting it’s rays on the body of the shadowed figure.
’I think you have something that doesn’t belong to you, grimm.” his voice clear as a crystal. A snarl came from the creatured known as grimm. Smoke from the cancer stick would swirl up into the sky. The sky would finally show the man’s full figure. A white tattered cape, glasses with a lens flare from the moon. A screw within the side of his head. The man’s hand would reach up to the giant screw on his head, and would twist it in a clockwise direction. His hand would stop for a moment, only to turn it once more every time the creature would snarl. Finally after a few moments of turning the screw, the man in the tattered cloak would speak. “There, much better. Now, onto business. ”
“Tch! You think you scare grimm!? You don’t know what grimm is capable of! You don’t know what grimm can do! Kekekeke. Grimm shall make you scream!” the threats of this creature would bounce off the man who stood. Still the same expression on his face.
“You’re right. I don’t know what you are capable of, and I don’t know what you can do. That’s why…” raising his left hand, he would take his index finger and middle finger, opening and closing them like scissors. “I am going too dissect you, and see how you like hearing your own scream. But not before you give me that bag” the statement was so clear, precise and threatening that it made the creature of a man’s heart, that he thought he threw away, actually jump! If he could sweat, now would be the time. Taking a step back, feeling the presence of this man, he would hiss at him like a serpent.
“Kekeke…Grim would like to see you try! With this body that was given to him by Kishin-sama, I will never be defeated!” he would take a breath, turning his head, hearing adnormal cracks through his neck. “Grimm doesn’t even know why you fight, no he doesn’t! Don’t you know that life that you knew is over!? Don’t you know that things will never bee the same! The age of sanity will be replaced by the flood of madness. There is nothing you, or anybody can do about it. Not even s-s-s-s-s-s-shinigami! Grimm sold his very essence to get the body you see now, oh yes he did. If you decide to leave now, I will ignore that you even came!”
Maybe you’re right
The man would flick his cancer stick on the ground, and crush it with his shoe. He would reply to the comment that the so called grimm spoke of. “It is with that fact, that it isn’t right that even in a hopeless abyss, that we humans will always fight. Even if there is no odds of winning, we will always fight. We will continue to press agains the darkness. Light in humanity will refuse to dim to the likes of you, or the kishin. That’s what it means to be human…but someone who gave that up could never understand that, someone like you…grimm”
After everything was said, the laughter of grimm rang like a church bell for what it seemed to be hours. He came to a abrut hault, looking at him as he turned his neck like a owl. “Tell me, what is your name…so I can write it on your grave! RAAAAAAAAAAA!” The creature grimm would make a bulls‘s head charge, dark green slime going everywhere as he charged. The man he would charging at would stand completely still, watching the creature charge at him. His eyes unmoving, his lens flare connecting with the scarlet orbs. A simple reply would be given too the charging grimm
“There is no use in telling your name too someone who is about to die.”
