((Will submit audition when profile is complete; just want to get all my ideas down first. Also note that to avoid overpowering Samus' current armor will be... well, you'll see. She'll be getting her "real" armor at some point in RP. Maybe. Assuming I don't become attached to the current look. DO NOT APPROVE THIS PROFILE until the AU audition has been approved.))
MAIN USERNAME: Mod Nascent
TYPE: Passive
STRENGTH: Strong
KEYWORDS: improved strength, improved speed
DESCRIPTION:
This character has undergone special training and conditioning to improve themselves physically, significantly surpassing what are generally considered the limits of the human body in terms of strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and reaction time. On the scale of super-human attributes this character's abilities rank at 4 or 5 out of 10. Examples from Soul Eater include Death the Kid, BlackStar, Mifune, Tsubaki, Prof. Stein, and Medusa Gorgon.[/ul]
EQUIPMENT:
TYPE: Clothing
STRENGTH: Epic
DESCRIPTION:
The Ares Type II combat exoskeleton is the ongoing focus of the Ares project. Having evolved into a versatile high-performance weapons platform over the course of several dozen upgrades and revisions the suit allows Samus to perform superhuman feats. Next generation micro-hydrolics make her motions practically effortless and allow her to perform feats of strength that would even impress the Meisters of Shibusen; composite layers of dual-phase steel, kevlar, and armor-rated ceramic make up the external armor plates while a segmented body glove of UHMW-weave covers the joints, giving her impeccable protection; in-built sensors and targeting systems provide unerring accuracy and localized awareness while a sophisticated data transfer and communications system lets her stay appraised of tactical developments; an experimental "soul battery" power pack twinned with an array of lithium ion cells guarantees sufficient power for the exoskeleton to operate independently for weeks in the field... and, as if all that weren't enough, the suit also has a built in pair of miniature retro-rockets to give Samus extended jumping, evasion, and extremely high-speed running capabilities. It serves as a self-contained environment suit as well, having an internal oxygen tank and sophisticated air scrubbers to neutralize all but the most potent poisons and airborne agents. All in all the suit lives up to its name, making its wearer quite literally a "god" of war.
The suit's only major drawback is its weight, something the engineers tried very hard to minimize. Clocking in at just under 475 lbs (around 215 kilograms) sans operator, the armor's sheer weight makes it untenable for certain terrain. Though it can be rigged for aquatic environments it operates sluggishly at best and has no means to "swim", and attempting to walk on flooring only built to support humans and furniture is generally a very bad idea.
EQUIPMENT NAME: Multi-Function Weapons Array ("Arm Cannon")
TYPE: Weapon
STRENGTH: Strong
DESCRIPTION:
The FMWA -- or as it's more commonly called, the arm cannon -- is almost half a dozen weapons rolled into one. It's component parts include the equivalent of an Exodus rifle, micro-grenade and micro-rocket launcher, heavy-grade steel-cable grapnel launcher, short-range flamethrower, and a prototype heat-disrupting energy cannon ("ice beam") that is capable of flash-freezing most anything it comes into contact with. The weapons array draws from the Ares armor for power and has what is generally regarded as an excessively large drum magazine with a 1000 round capacity. Rocket and grenade ammo, at ten rounds each, are on custom half-cylinder magazines. The fuel tank for the flamethrower is comparatively small, meant mostly to be used as a deterrent against close range attacks. There are also two backup grapnels in the event that the first one is severed. The weapons' computerized sighting sensors feed directly into the suit's HUD, optimizing their accuracy and effectiveness. It can only be used in conjunction with the Ares Combat Exoskeleton.
EQUIPMENT NAME: Exodus Rifle
TYPE: Weapon
STRENGTH: Average
DESCRIPTION:
The distinctive Exodus Rifle is standard issue equipment for those who make it into the ranks of the Exorcists. Based closely on the frame design of the FN F2000 assault rifle, the Exodus variant is made from a high-durability steel alloy and bears the emblem of the Exorcists embossed into both sides. Made to be highly adaptable, the Exodus can be fitted with a wide array of scopes, an under-slung seven-shot grenade launcher, muzzle silencer, flashlight / infrared spotlight, laser sight, and computerized targeting / range finder display. It fires 5.56x45mm NATO rounds (some of the most common ammunition in the world, allowing its user to accept and scavange ammo from a variety of sources) and can be adapted on the fly for an array of less-than-lethal firing options such as tranquilizer darts, tazer rounds, and rubber bullets. There are certain specialty rounds, such as incendiary, explosive, tracer, and armor piercing that are available for this weapon; Exorcist R&;D is also pursuing the development of anti-madness and anti-witch ammo, though supplies of such experimental bullets are only released on an as-needed basis. It can toggle between semi-automatic and full auto firing modes via a quick-flip switch on the side. This weapon is only manufactured at Exorcist Headquarters; it is currently illegal to buy or sell them due to exclusivity rights signed into law by the UN.
EQUIPMENT NAME: Desert Eagle, Exorcist Issue
TYPE: Weapon
STRENGTH: Average
DESCRIPTION:
The standard sidearm issued to Exorcist field agents, the Desert Eagle semiautomatic pistol has a long standing military reputation and is one of the most spotlighted guns in media and fiction. A strong and versatile weapon, it can be modified to fire .357, .44, and .50 caliber rounds; the Exorcist issue variant has also been modified to fire tazer rounds as well as regular ammunition.

DESCRIPTION:
Designed as both a capable mode of transportation and as Samus "armor bearer", the Kydoimos motorcycle is tough on its own and made even tougher by integrating the Ares exoskeleton. The AAS functions as a mobile attach / detach station for the Ares; with the push of a button concealed hydrolics and small robotic arms automate the process of taking the armor on and off. When not worn by Samus the armor pieces are either stashed in reinforced compartments or mounted directly onto the bike's chassis for extra armor value. Needless to say, the bike is much more resistant to attack with these extra layers on. The FMWA (arm cannon) can also be swivel-mounted to the front of the bike or concealed within a forward recess as desired. The helmet and body glove stay on Samus, however; after all, it's just not safe to ride without your helmet.[/ul]
DESCRIPTION:
The Kydoimos, named for a Greek demon of war, is the answer to Ares R&D's quest to make fielding their experimental armor and its operator a quick, easy affair. It is a military-grade motorcycle that utilizes many of the Ares exoskeleton technologies in its construction, albeit to a lesser degree. It has enough supportive hydrolics to manage Samus' weight while wearing the full armor and a computerized system that enables the bike itself to attach or remove the Ares to Samus' body glove even while driving. It's outer shell is distinctly military in style, incorporating lightweight steel plate armor and a "winged" design meant to offer the rider significant protection from front or side attacks. It can run on traditional gasoline or an internal lithium battery backup, though the battery admittedly doesn't last more than a few hours. It is possible to seat two, though the fit will be snug.

LOYALTY: The Exorcists
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Dislikes: Dragons, Kishin Eggs, witches, frivolous waste, unnecessary loss of life, being looked down upon
Strengths: Excellent soldier, marksman, and a fair close-range combatant. Has military discipline and mental toughness. Skilled motorcycle driver.
Weaknesses: Is exposed and much less powerful without armor. Has no defense against magic, madness, or soul wavelength attacks. Low social skills and ability to connect with others makes her a poor leader and team mate.
Hobbies: Competitive shooting, the occasional game of paintball.

PERSONALITY:
HISTORY:
"I was young when it happened. Truth is I barely remember my parents, though I've read about them and their work. They were scientists, working on gene therapies and ways to harmonize the human body with a mechanical prosthetic. I've been told that a lot of their research went into the systems underpinning my armor -- that their legacy is literally my power on the battlefield. But the only way I can remember their faces is by staring at photographs... and that..."
"...Makes me remember the night they were killed."
"I remember waking up to the sound of a terrifying screech. Like any frightened child my first instinct was to run to my parents' room, shouting and screaming the whole way. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw when I flung open the door. I've been told that what I encountered that night was a Kishin Egg, a person who'd list their sanity to such a point that they became a soul-devouring monster... but I've done my research. There's never been a sighting of any Kishin Egg that matched the profile of the scaly, fire-eyed beast that stood over the bloody carcases of my parents that night, looking at me through eyes burning with hate. Everyone tells me what I saw was just the terrified recollections of a confused child . . . but there's only one word, one way I know how to describe that thing."
"Dragon."
"It lunged at me. I would've been dead if I'd been alone, but someone else swept in through a gaping hole in the wall and began fighting the thing with some kind of oddly-shaped scimitar. The official reports would later confirm that it was a Shibusen Weapon-Meister team, though who they were and what they were fighting are apparently confidential information. All I know is that I ran. I ran down the street in my pajamas and bare feet. I ran until my legs gave out, until my feet were bloody and the entire street had been woken up by my screaming. I hid behind a trash can and tried to wake up from the nightmare... but the nightmare was real."
"The police found me half an hour later. Everything after that's a blur. Years after the fact I'd find out that the Shibusen team who'd saved my life had been found ripped apart in the back yard and the creature gone. I didn't have any relatives so I was put in foster care -- not a very good family. I got out as soon as I was old enough; a young woman with a chip on her shoulder, angry with the world and battling a nightmare that simply refused to let me wake up. They say that if you break a bone wrong it never heals quite right. Well, neither did I. The line between fear and anger began to blur a long time ago for me... I think that's part of why I became such a good soldier."
"I enlisted at eighteen and immediately gained a reputation for a short fuse and a lightning right hook. Basic went a long way towards helping me get the first one under control, though the second continues to be something of a 'social failing' of mine. Life in the US Marines suited me, on and off the battlefield; I was younger than most of the other soldiers but my skills and standoffish attitude cut short most of the disrespect. I only really let my guard down when I was with my unit, though even they thought I seemed a bit distant and serious. I suppose that's just how I am; all the training in the world never really took the lone wolf out of me."
"I was twenty five, six months after the Kishin Crisis resolved, when R&D approached me about continuing my parents' work. They called it the Ares Project; my parents had always intended their work for peaceful civilian application but military funding was really the only way to get anything done in their field. Ares was centered around the idea of a field-deployable combat exoskeleton that would serve as the ultimate force multiplier, a perfect union of human being and war machine. I went through the gene therapy and bio-augmetics over the course of several months to prepare my body to interface with the armor, then a full year to synchronize, train, and field test. Results were better than expected and improvements kept getting added on. Even out of the suit I was becoming faster and stronger than I'd ever been, and in the suit I was damn near unstoppable. In the time after the Kishin's rampage every major player in world affairs was looking for a countermeasure... and I was the best by far."
"It was no surprise, then, when the Exorcists took an interest. The Ares project was folded into their command structure less than a month after talks opened up and I, of course, went with them. It would have taken far too long to sync the suit to someone else and I was happy enough to get moved in with a new elite force. Yet always in the back of my mind the question hung..."
"Would I find it, the bloodthirsty creature that had eluded the world for so many years? Would I ever have a chance to face it down and put an end to the nightmare of fear and anger and forcing myself to be strong that had become my everyday life? Would I bring it to an end?"
"I don't know the answer, but the question is all I have."[/size]

Beneath the heavy combat armor lies a tough young woman who won't hesitate to break your face if you look at her sideways.
