MAIN USERNAME: Ashley
--------------
CHARACTER NAME: Ashley Shaw
RACE: Human
CLASS: Weapon and Golem Engineer (Overseer)
ADVANCED CLASS:
AGE: Seventeen
GENDER: Male
APPEARANCE:
Ashley is a gaunt, scrawny boy who is by know means perfect. He looks fragile and breakable, which is not completely wrong in Ashley’s case: susceptible to extremes of both weathers, illnesses and also bad luck, he isn’t as hard to break as a pane of glass. He is dangerously breakable for a seventeen-year-old boy and knows it, but embraces the ‘cuteness’ that comes with that kind of stature. He is rough 5’2 and weighs 115lbs (underweight).
He is small, bouncy and underweight, not lithe. He struggles with exercise, and cannot bare to run very far before giving into tire and waving the white flag of physical surrender. He detests exercise, hating everything about it: the sweat, the tire, the pain. Because of his anti-exercise body, he should -really- be as fat as a pig. That was if he didn’t have a high metabolism and burnt off food like magnesium in a flame. To sustain his own weight he has to eat like a horse. He may be called greedy and lazy, but metabolism is a very hindering thing on both sides of the ‘extremes’. Ashley costs himself a fortune in food, whether that be fast food, buffets, restaurants or bars, when it comes to clearing a kitchen in a day, Ashley’s the one for the job.
He has black hair, usually in a messy and lazy curtain that just flops about anywhere it desires, filled with split ends and white tips from those split ends in turn. He isn’t very fussy with clothes and will throw any old tat on and call it an outfit, with less hopes of impressing anyone than a hobo. He may think about what he wears, his favourite colour being white, so he may usually go around in a white shirt and hooded jacket with light jeans and trainers. He avoids muddy puddles or anywhere damp, usually avoiding ‘the great outdoors’ as much as possible, much more rather liking the safety of concrete and metal and glass panels.
With his mass of chaotic hair comes his rather cute, heart-shaped face which looks a little disproportionate to the rest of his body. He has large, Lincoln green eyes that seem to stare pleasantly at anybody who looks even half as pleasant. This is accompanied by an elegant but small nose with a slight concave. He has slim, rosy pink lips which look out of place but yet somehow right on him. Any other boy and you‘d think he was a flat-chested chick.
His voice also rings with feminine licks, and is young and rings out like a choir with all the notes and emphasis that has a high tone to it. He doesn’t sound like a boy or a girl, resting somewhere in the middle but leaning over to boy very slightly. Even so, Ashley has another voice. One that seems to boast when he is angry or annoyed. He doesn’t even know about it as it sounds like batman has taken control of a young boys body. To him, it sounds likes his normal voice, and he will cuss and swear like a sailor but his mind will make him replace all the swearing with other words that might also make sense. The sentences also seem to overlap, merging into one another to make muddled and gibberish languages.
His skin is pale and soft, without many blemishes is translucent in a way that the veins are visible, especially on the arms and the softer skin. Scratched easily and scared nearly twice as much, Ashley has a very low pain tolerance, crying and screaming at the slightest pin-prick or head-smash into the nearest brick wall. He is quick to cry and call cowardice, but anything that will keep him alive is generally approved. Ashley can get sunburn and heat stroke easily and doesn’t tan well if at all without getting burnt or being rounded out of the sun by frequent and nasty headaches. He usually carries pain killers and/or two flasks of cold water, usually running through water faster than most people.

CURRENT PARTNER(S): N/A
WEAPON FORM(S):
Weapon Form Ashley's weapon form is a deadly and destructive minigun, that measures roughly three meters in length. The weapon is mainly a dark and serious grey, with hints of yellow and black on the handles and scarlet trigger. The weapon can fire about 2500 rounds per minute, using 7mm magazines. In Ashley's demon version, the bullets are spontaneous and contain fusions of both his soul and his partners, but retain a lifelike metal shell.
MINIGUN FORM
Partial Transformation In partial transformation, Ashley's forearm turns into the rotating barrel of the minigun form, with the capability of spinning, but not very fast, at half the speed it would spin at if he was in fll transformation. The barrel is well equipped to smashing things and generally pummeling someone to death, but with Ashley's lack of strength, there won't be much pummeling going on.

ABILITIES:
EQUIPMENT:
EQUIPMENT NAME
STRENGTHS:
MINIONS:
MINION NAME(S): No.5
GROUP?: No
RANK: B-Rank
DESCRIPTION: Acts as a temporary meister for Ashley in competitive spars, although is very slow moving as easily out maneuvered (even so Ashley avoids combat as much a possible). No.5 can act as a bodyguard or assistant to Ashley in missions and is handy at moving large objects, but doesn't fight in missions due to lack of weapons. No.5 is slow and not very accurate, and is more ineffective in battle that it is worth. It is easily tripped, trapped and hindered useless in a number of environments. No.5 is more like a mascot and a partner than a proper golem that acts as a meister. No.5 is a lumbering, bulk of a golem that seems to act on two wills: Riley's and Ashley's. No.5 follows Riley's will by helping Ashley and making sure he isn't doing anything stupid, namely getting into the trouble. Usually the huge golem spends its time at Ashley's home, un-active the the garage. The golem follows Ashley's will by carrying stuff and moving big objects out of his way. Usually on rainy days, one can expect Ashley to be sitting atop his eight foot machine with an umbrella, so he doesn't get himself muddy and unclean.
ABILITIES & EQUIPMENT: No.5 was shipped over into the US of A with projectile weapons such as a Gatling gun, rocket launcher, flame thrower, cannon and some other bits and bobs, but they all got jammed on the way over to Death City, and haven't come unstuck. No.5 is still, however, almost entirely made from tank armor, and makes as a rather successful body guard. No.5 Can still pummel enemies, but at a slow but strong pace.
ABILITY NAME: Sentinel Soldier
TYPE: Active
STRENGTH: - Sends enemies backwards (if they have a mass lower than three-quarters of No.5) - Is excellent to buy time or to badly hurt the enemy when down
KEYWORDS: Melee, Defensive, One-Shot
DESCRIPTION: Sentinel Soldier is a move used by a usually passive No.5 if his master is about to be struck by an enemy. This comes in the form of a fist to the ground that sends shock waves through the earth that target hostile movement. It sends the enemies back, how far depends on the weight of the enemy and how clear the terrain is. No.5 will typically use this once per thread, and once he's used it, will retreat somewhere and wait for his master to call him back.
VEHICLES:
- - -
LOYALTY: Shibusen
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Strengths: - Intelligent: Ashley had vast knowledge of folklore, religion, physics and maths, while also being able to speak semi-fluently in Latin, French and German. He doesn't act intelligent, he doesn't really know he is either. His knowledge might come in handy when it comes to dealing with enemies derived from legends.
Weaknesses: - Low Stamina Ashley cannot last long when it comes to running or climbing. He is very easily tired and can be quick to complain about the distance of things.
- Weak Don't expect Ashley to be able to stand on his own two feet. He is more of a leech than an independent human, always looking for support or people to back him up. If he gets into a fight, it's more or less decided that he will end up the loser, and no matter the degree of fighting, he'll easily end up with a sprain, crack, or broken something or other.
- Cowardly Don't expect Ashley to leap into any missions that involve dark scary places and equally as dark or scary things. He will protest and argue in multiple different languages until the mission gets going, and then he'll just try and lay low as much as possible.
- Easily frightened As well as being a coward, the slightest creak or noise in a desolate area will have him crying for mummy or Locco. He hates anything remotely scary and to go with it can be frightened by a plastic skeleton covered in ketchup. - Low Pain Tolerance Ashley has a very low tolerance for pain and has a very big fear of pain too. The slightest pin prick will have him reeling back and screaming, so being punched in the face won't really be the best thing to do either.
PERSONALITY:
If there is one thing that makes Ashley unique, it’s his multiple synaesthesia. From birth, Ashley has always had four types of synaesthesia: emotion_>touch, touch_>emotion, letter_>colour and music_>colour. To Ashley, this is completely and utterly normal, and this went undiscovered for a good few years until he started asking his teachers bizarre questions, like what touch they match with emotions. Ashley was always confused why people laughed and told him he was ‘funny’. When it was clear he had multiple synaesthesia, Ashley saw things is a completely new light. To Ashley, fluffy equates to safety and friendship, happiness equates to silk, the letter ‘R’ equates to the colour purple, and soft rock equates to white. His bizarre and yet normal way of thinking has very much influenced his life, and can sometimes by a hindrance. He hates muddy fields or rotten wood, the feel makes him depressed and slow. Ashley, even though he knows he has synaesthesia since he was born, doesn’t understand how anyone could think in any other way, and something calls other people freaks before realizing he is the freakier one.
Ashley is a lover of the arts, although being very bad at most himself. He cannot paint for the life of him and nor can he act, instead he leaves it to the professionals and whereas someone would go to the cinema, Ashley would go to the theatre on a Saturday evening. The theatre is like artistic heaven to him: the props, the acting, the costumes and the set are part of one big artistic throw-about. The cinema, to him, is not acting at its very best, since you are not watching the actor at the moment of his or her performance. He revels in the drama in which the actors have to give it everything they’ve got, and is usually the last one clapping. Ashley prefers romances and happy stories rather than depressing ones, since romances making his feel like memory foam is running over his hand, and that equates to love in Ashley’s head. Usually after a play he will announce that he is ‘covered in memory foam mattress’. Some people would say the theatre is a kind of fetish, going back and watching the same type of drama to evoke the same feeling. Ashley, however, claims he has never heard of the word ‘fetish’.
His eye for good stitching and costumes is absurdly concentrated, and textiles is something he is rather proud about. His textiles skills are quite the spectacle, and usually he’ll spend his Sunday’s making a coat or hat. He has no shame in his talents, whereas other people might do. Scarves, mittens, gloves, funny hats, Ashley can make just about anything if he puts his mind to it, and some of the stuff he makes is high standard industry quality a lot of the times. If it were possible to kill Kishin eggs by knitting, they’d probably all be dead by now.
Ashley also hates the outdoors. He avoids mud and damp and murky places as much as physically possible, he hates rain, snow, hail and sleet, but adores sunshine and dry days where he can dance across the grass without getting too dirty. He will gladly step out and enjoy the sunshine and grass if it is dry enough, and being raised in a confined and very protective environment can usually bring out the picky, careful in anyone.
Behind his innocent and filth-free life and know-not demeanour, he is one intelligent physicist. He looks up to famous scientists, like Marie Curie, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, usually spouting out equations and carries a notebook with different aspects of physics. Ashley’s love for the stars is a strong relationship, and he’ll usually sit out and watch the sky. One of his reasons for liking the stars is because ‘although it’s natural, you can’t get dirty’. Many people may see the more less innocent side of this statement, but Ashley sees it as literal.
He is also well educated on the worlds religions, folklores and myths which seem trivial to him, but his mother saw it as important to him since he'd be less prejudice and therefore easier to get on with. Ashley soaked up these other subjects quickly, and was soon bored by them. With his knowledge of 'trivial' subjects like these, he is a very good person to work with on missions that have Kishin Eggs that started such myths.

HISTORY:
Ashley Shaw was born on the 1st of May 1999 to a rich upper class family in the Devonshire countryside. As the firstborn to a wealthy family, Ashley was fixed from the word go, with everything and anything, from a mansion converted from a large old farmhouse to an entire library.
The family's wealth stemmed from a very lucky woman (Isla Shaw) who won the national lottery some three years prior, entering the national millionaire-maker competition for a dare. After she won, Isla decided to set up a private hospital from the twenty-five million prize. Isla had won the money three years after her marriage to Riley Darren, who took Isla's last name to avoid complication of the company's name, plus Darren doesn't sound as professional as Shaw according to Riley himself. Isla was an ex-attendant to Shibusen, who had once taken the roll of weapon in a team, she had been a rather large double barrelled shotgun, and didn't make it past the ten souls stage before dropping out and doing other things. Riley was also a student Meister at Shibusen, but had also taken an interest in golem engineering with his best friend, Clarisse Renrunner. Riley eventually left Shibusen with Clarisse to study and develop golem engineering. Eventually Riley got back up with Isla at a ball, and the two kept in touch. One thing lead to another.
Riley Darren was a middle class Psychiatrist, also a very successful man in flipnosis (the art of split second persuasion), which was a very successful tool in which he helped shape his son into what he wanted him to be (almost).
Ashley was born a year after the success of the company, and lived a sheltered and very protected life. His parents selected his friends for him, generally being sons and daughters of their friends of relatives. Ashley always grew up having things chosen for him: where he went, the world which he was chained to, and even some of his likes and dislikes. It was a normal and very boring process for Ashley, and much of his days were spent sat on a log by a stone wall which surround the Shaw's thirty acre garden. He would sit and wonder, trying to jump over the large wall, and always failing.
Ashley was home educated by some of the best teachers in the UK, and was encouraged in academics: Maths, Science and English respectably. He was also taught Latin, French and German, but refused to learn any other languages his parents proposed such as Japanese, Russian and Greek. This was perhaps the only decision he made in his life which actually made any difference to who he was as a person.
In his spare time, Ashley would go down to the family petting zoo, small it may have been. It consisted of four Arabian Stallions, six hens and two cockerels, two alpacas, ten sheep, three rams, and one very large bunny. Instead of doing what his father and mother wanted and learning to ride horses, Ashley would only ever go down to the petting zoo to visit the bunny, a 20 pound Flemish Giant by the name of Rocco. Ashley and Rocco were -almost- inseparable, if it wasn't for his classes and sleeping and other human needs. This didn't go down to well with his father, who had especially tried to convince him of separating with the rabbit, but his techniques didn't work on a boy growing stubborn.
As a plan, Isla and Riley organised a get together of all the families and friends they knew, and were advised to bring their children. The idea the parents had in mind was to get Ashley (now eight) used to human company and hopefully make him much more liking of it. However, the parents had made a flaw: Ashley had never spoken to anybody but his teachers and parents, and wasn't to sure on how to speak to people.
At the gathering, there was probably around ten children, each slightly hostile towards Ashley, who still clung to Rocco like a life support. Even if the bunny kicked, Ashley's arms remained chained, snuggling into the fur, finding that its softness calmed him and reminded him of an emotion he couldn't quite put a finger on.
The get together lasted a whole day, leaving Ashley confused and rather dizzied with all the commotion. No-one seemed to approach him, which frustrated his parents until they decided to give up and leave their son to fend for himself. To Ashley, the crowd was like static: it wouldn't go away. However, there was one person he took a liking to. An older girl by the name of Ronnie Gareth. She was a year his senior, bubbling and excitable, and also had a love for Ashley's rather big rabbit. The two bonded quickly, even though Ashley's impaired communication skills left him speaking bizarre fusions of languages that sounded like backwards Swedish music on steroids. His odd and peculiar outbursts made Ronnie grow ever more fond of him, and by the time Ronnie had to leave, Ashley was begging for her to stay, still latching on to Rocco as if he were a sacred relic.
After a few months, Ashley had accepted he wouldn't be seeing Ronnie again, and had settled back into 'normal' life. A few years later (at eleven), and Ashley began asking strange questions to his teachers. The first being 'What colour do you associate with the letter P?'. From here on, Ashley began to ask similar questions, and constantly was ignored for his strange outbursts. Eventually his parents called a mental doctor around, who confirmed that Ashley had four types of synaesthesia, a different way of thinking about things.
Ashley's father realized that the reason his son was attached to the Flemish Giant living in their petting zoo was because Ashley associated fur with friendship and safety. Isla accepted her sons mentality much more easily that Riley, who didn't quite understand that it was a way of thinking, not a mental disorder.
Ashley then -one day- did something can brought out the proud father in Riley. That was when Ashley stumbled upon his fathers workshop, and had looked at his sketches of mini-golems made from a fabric similar to nanotube fibre, only less tough. Ashley -how ever- wasn’t interested in nanotechnology, and instead spent a while in the workshop trying to piece together the remains of a once cheeky looking mini-golem. His father had found him, and had almost burst with joy. Riley taught Ashley everything he knew about golem engineering, and Ashley had -for once- found himself a practical talent. Ashley picked up the skills quickly, and -soon enough- had personal and organised lessons for golem engineering.
Ashley's life went on fine for two more years, learning, bonding with Rocco, and becoming more curious with the outside world. Eventually, Ashley would be torn apart by the most horrendous acts in his life. The execution of Rocco the Flemish Giant.
As Rocco grew older, his health declined, and became more susceptible to the harshening British winters. Riley -for once- was concerned about the fourteen-year-old rabbit's health, and knowing his son's refusal to let Rocco be separated from him, took Rocco to the vets during one of his classes. Once there, Rocco was put down. The news struck Ashley like a sucker punch to the face, and made him lose all trust in his father.
Ashley had protested to the 'execution' of Rocco since the idea became apparent suggesting that Rocco be let to live inside the house with the family, much like a dog. However, Riley had refused, not easily wavered from his ways and his ideas.
Life continued as normal as it could for Ashley, void of a fluffy bunny, regularly visiting the empty hutch and pen of the dead 20 pound friend. Two years passed with the emptiness, and eventually Ashley had grown a new friend: physics. While sitting by the hutch and thinking to himself over physics -of which had grown fond of- Ashley remembered how he had seen his mother's hand transform into the strap of a nine-tails whip. Ashley, thinking it was normal for everyone, sat and thought. Eventually he tried it himself.
When his mother came looking for him, she picked him up in her arms and carried him back to the house. She was smiling, both at the fact she could still carry him, and that he son was in fact a weapon like herself. He'd been sitting there, the tips of his fingers like to end of a bullwhip. When his father found out, the three sat down and had a talk about Shibusen. A few weeks later and Ashley was set to go to Shibusen in the family jet.
Ashley had convinced his parents he would be fine on his own, and after taking all of his savings stashed away in a rabbit-shaped piggy bank, left with the family maid, Dolly, and headed for the airport. Ashley however had other plans, and convinced Dolly, mellow natured and willing to let a child be, dropped Ashley off on the high street, wondering where on earth he could be going.
Ashley stumbled through the crowd, not sure what to do, people towering over him and running into him: he said sorry so many times and insulted by so many people. Something about 'the youth of today'. The original goal of Ashley's adventure was to find the sweet shop Ronnie had talked about so many years ago. Instead, he was drawn to a pet shop by the smell of sawdust. A smell he related closely to Rocco.
Inside, Ashley found a variety of animals: rats, grey parrots, budgies, snakes, tarantulas and kittens. But the smell drew Ashley to the back of the shop, where he stopped and marvelled. There had to be four to seven 4 months old kits curled up in a big fluffy ball in a medium sized pen. Ashley watched, hugging forty pounds close to his chest in a small blue wallet. He forgot about the sweets and watched the rabbits, completely taken back to a time where he used to snuggle up with Rocco.
When the pet shop owner decided to check on the kits some five minutes later, she was shocked to find a boy sitting in the pen, the small rabbits curled up in his lap. Instead of shouting, the owner got Ashley out and asked him what he was doing in the pen. Ashley simply answered that he liked bunnies and was looking around. “Being in the pen isn't exactly looking,” was all the owner had to say until Ashley spotted a white bunny, speckled with splats of brown and black and cream, with beady black eyes, pilled beneath the other darker rabbits. Ashley leaned over and gently pulled the bunny out, but soon had it snatched from his arms. “You can't have her unless you pay.” Ashley asked how much the rabbit would cost. “£25,” the owner answered. Ashley looked down, still holding the wallet. “I have that!” He said as he pulled out £25 pounds and passed it to the owner. The owner raised and eyebrow, but let Ashley take the kit. Ashley spent the rest of his money on a leash and bundle of carrots from a stall back up the road.
Ashley found Dolly and the car and clambered into the front, bunny in arms. Dolly asked him to take it back, but Ashley refused, saying that he needed a friend to take to California. Dolly, being much more understanding than any of his parents, allowed Ashley to keep the rabbit. Ashley looked at the baby lop ear, stroking its fur and smiling. “What shall we call you?” he spoke softly to himself. He remembered Rocco, and in an instant he had a name. “Locco,” he said, “let's call you Locco.”
At the airport, Dolly convinced the manager of the airport to let Ashley board the private jet with the rabbit, along with a £2,000 bribe from Dolly's own account. Dolly paid the fee, allowing Ashley to leave with Locco. Ashley was undoubtedly sad to leave Dolly, becoming attached to her during their short hour and a half together. She reminded him of Ronnie. The two said goodbye, and with that, Ashley boarded, waving goodbye to England as he went.
MORE INFO:
- Ashley -after a few months living in Death City- received a rather large package from his father, Riley. Inside was an eight foot tall machine golem named No.5. It was armed with guns, rocket launchers and a manner of over-the-top weaponry a paranoid father would apply. However, all of the projectile weapons mysteriously jammed on the crossing from Heathrow to Death City. Ashley has had it looked at by all the golem meisters and engineers in the area, but No.5 remains jammed.
- Obviously Ashley has a female lop eared bunny that has grown to about 10 pounds in weight. He takes it everywhere with him, even on missions, and has a habit of referring to Locco when the conversation has nothing to do with large fluffy rabbits.
