This is my first attempt at a character for this site, so if anything seems strange, off, or unbalanced please let me know and I'll fix it. Thank you for your time.
MAIN USERNAME: Annabeth
LOYALIST / FREELANCER / ROLEPLAY-ONLY: Roleplay Only
--------------
CHARACTER NAME: Annabeth Abbot
RACE: Human
CLASS: Demon Weapon
ADVANCED CLASS: n/a
AGE: 15
GENDER: Female
APPEARANCE: A petite, Caucasian girl with long, strait, brown hair that falls to her waist. She only stands 4’9” and looks somewhat frail and weak. While not ugly, she has fairly plain, sharp features with a stronger jaw line than she’d like to admit and wears her hair to frame her face in such a way to hide it.
Clothing: Annabeth has always focused on dressing in such a way that she wouldn't stand out. For the most part she's been successful, but coming to DWMA has left her with a serious conundrum. Many people seem to wear clothing that is a little more eccentric then she would normaly consider, so much so that when asked what's 'average attire' is in the city she can't really answer. For now she's taken to wearing the most normal school uniform she could choose from DWMA's catalog at school, and donning moderate clothing from jeans and t-shirts to low key dresses when she's out on her own... but she has been sighted wandering through clothing stores examining some or the more out there clothes, like pilot helmets, Gothic dresses, and punk outfits, something she's kept to herself.

CURRENT PARTNER(S): none as of yet
WEAPON FORM(S): Demon Anti-Personnel Gun:
Form: Annabeth takes the form of a portable minigun. She is four and a half feet from end to end, with a secondary handle located on the top of her chassis to allow for portability and a folding bi-pod located beneath her that can be employed for mounted combat. her coloring is a combination of black, reflective silver, and a gold-bronze.
Internal Capabilities: Annabeth is capable of firing three bullets a second (with out the help of any other abilities). This may seem slow for a minigun since most can shoot anywhere from 30 to 600 rounds a second, but makes sense due to her reduced size which allows her to be carried and most of her available space being dedicated to recoil suppressors. These suppressors do their job amazingly, making each individual bullet fired produce very little recoil and keeps the weapon from harming the meister very much, though her wrists and forearms may be very sore in the morning from holding her strait while firing, after all, she may exert a littler recoil, but that doesn't mean it doesn't add up.

ABILITIES:
ABILITY NAME: (Theme Power) Overwhelming Fire Power
TYPE: Activation
STRENGTH: Inept
KEYWORDS: Firearm, Suppression, Speed
DESCRIPTION: The nature of Annabeth’s weapon form grants her a surprisingly high rate of fire. By calling on her soul she can further increase her rate of fire to six bullets a second.
STRENGTH: The use of this ability gives Annabeth the ability to pour out soul bullets at a group of targets or an area, effectively attacking multiple enemies that are close to each other or strafing a target area on the battle field to try to push enemies in the direction she and her meiseter want them to go.
WEAKNESS: If this ability is employed, Annabeth may not do any other action for the turn as she is busy spitting out bullets. The Meister may not move or even dodge the turn this ability is employed because she must brace herself in order to fire so many bullets at once. While employing this ability, you attack entire groups and as such you can not pick and choose who you hit, something that puts friends and innocents that are too close to the target area in danger as well as foes. If this ability is employed without the use of Annabeth's bi-pod (firing while standing) the chance to hit each individual target is lowered due to weapon strafing.
Used for one post: Annabeth may not use this ability again for two posts. Grows a little tiered from the taxing this takes on her soul. She may use this ability again, but not past the two post level. She may not use this ability a third time in a day.
Used for two posts: Annabeth may not use this ability again for four posts and may not be fired at all for one posts. Her barrel smokes a little and she grows fatigued from the taxing this ability has on her soul. This ability may be used again at the one-post level, but can not be used a third time in a day.
Used for three posts: Annabeth may not use this ability again for six posts and may not be fired at all for two posts. Her barrel glows bright orange and she grows extremely fatigued from the taxing this ability has on her soul. If Annabeth uses this ability again she may only use it at the one post level and immediately falls unconscious for a minimum of fifteen posts.
LOYALTY:
DWMA
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Lack of Trust in Meisters
Clearly out of her Element
Combat Strengths:
Long Range: Annabeth is a firearm weapon.
High Rate of Fire: Annabeth is a suppression gun and as such has the capability to fire three bullets a second.
Combat Weaknesses:
Physically Weak: In human form Annabeth is small and frail.
Large, Heavy and Awkward: Annabeth in weapon form is large, awkward and heavy, making feats of agility while carrying her difficult, and successfully hitting anything while doing these feats nearly impossible. This also vastly lowers effectiveness in close combat as her size and clunkiness makes it easier for enemies to dodge around her range of fire the closer they get.
Abrasive Wavelength: Annabeth’s poor encounters with her family, friends, and trouble with potential partners has affected her soul wavelength, making it far more difficult for her to resonate with a meister than it is for others. This stems from the constant belief she is just a place holder until the meister finds a better weapon. ((please confirm that this is, in fact, a combat weakness. It sounds like it, but I haven't done any combat yet so can't say.))
PERSONALITY:
Annabeth is a confused, scared, young woman who has recently had her faith in her fellow human beings shaken. She believes just about everyone is out to use her and tends to keep her distance from people emotionally. She does maintain friendships and such, but they tend to lack any trust behind them. She especially distrusts meisters, believing they simply use weapons for their own gain. She firmly believes she is a second rate weapon, and that's why she's only ever used as a stepping stone. All of this spite finds it's self manifesting to others as an under confident, slightly shy demeanor. At the end of the day she just wants to be average.
HISTORY:
Everyone in Annabeth's 's family knew of the old stories that claimed their ancestors had included demon weapons. And all of her relatives assumed this was just myth and legend with either no truth to back it or, if it had ever been true, was so long ago it had been bred out of them. Honestly Annabeth never paid much attention to the stories herself, finding herself far more interested in maintaining her her current, blissfully average life than giving credit to tales of fancy.
Annabeth wasn’t anyone special, and that's how she liked it. She was average. She managed average grades, didn't stick out in any particular hobby as being really good or really bad, and skirted the area between popular and unpopular. She maintained friendships, of course, but was in general off of everyone’s social radar. Unfortunately this averageness came to an abrupt end when she manifested the unique genetic marker that declared her a demon weapon.
Suddenly she wasn't average anymore! She was the subject of gossip, treated like a curiosity. her family and friends either became jealous or fearful of her abilities, while people she didn't even know began trying to get close to her and be her friend. These reactions lead to a vast amount of confusion as Annabeth tried to adjust to the sudden, polarized treatment and failed. And how she hated this condition, she spent most of her time just trying to figure out how to return to being average. Failing, she was only to happy to depart for DWMA to learn to control her forms, ecstatic to escape the chaos that had become of her once average life.
Annabeth’s first few months with DWMA were actually quite positive as she took part in the NOT program. At DWMA she was ‘average’ again and enjoyed every moment; She returned to doing average at her grades, maintaining an average social life, and even began picking up a few new hobbies that she found her self quite average at.
She went through a few meisters over those months. After all, her gigantic firearm form has a way of attracting meisters who want to partner with large, powerful weapons. Unfortunately she’s found that most of these partners aren’t willing to sacrifice their mobility and showy combat styles to work with a weapon as awkward and clumsy as she is. Over time she noticed her classmates all pairing up with stable partnerships, while she seemed to default to left over meisters or meisters of convenience. A handful of these meisters even earned her trust, convincing her that they wouldn’t abandon her… but each did, leaving a scar on her confidence that has left her convinced that she’s a second rate weapon.
Of all of these partners, the worst blow to her psyche was delivered by her latest meister; Samantha. Samantha had dreamed of joining the EAT program since enrolling and after a solid month of begging and pleading she convinced Annabeth to attempt to enroll with her despite Annabeth’s disinterest in the program. She made promises of turning Annabeth into a death scythe, of them becoming legends together and begged, a lot, until Annabeth caved and went through the enrollment with her. To Annabeth’s surprise, they were accepted, and they found themselves taking classes as EAT students… but not even two weeks later Samantha told Annabeth that she had found another partner, a sniper rifle, that she was going to work with him.
Now, Annabeth has found herself standing as an EAT student, partnerless, betrayed, with shattered confidence, in a program she has no interest in, and, worse of all, not average.
Why hasn't she left the EAT program yet? Because she doesn't want to be 'that person.' The person who joins the EAT program only to wash out to the NOT before a month is even over - wash outs are not average. Still, the thought has been crossing her mind the longer she stays in the EAT program.
