(OOC: I'm just gonna give a quick recap of how the entire "choosing a Mission" thing went down. P.S.: We are BOTH in charge of this SRM that means we both progress the plot, After all we are Partners.) Leon looked up at the board filled to the brim with missions just waiting to be accepted by students. Some were easy, others with rather pretty difficult. According to his teacher, and father if he wanted his weapon to become stronger... then he needed to defeat the monster's known as Kishin in order to collect their soul and the weapon like... absorbs it? If they can collect 99 Kishin soul's and then a single witch soul then they become a Death Scythe one of the Shinigami's instruments. Problem was, choosing a promising mission that provided a Kishin soul for his partner. Since they were pretty new and had no actual combat experience, or at least he hadn't, Maybe Milo had some that he didn't know about. Either way, it didn't really help him now did it?
One in particular caught his eye, it was one with the label 'New.' The Meister reached up and took it off the wall reading it more carefully. "The Valley of Kings? Egypt... hmmm Pack your Bags Milo! We're heading to Egypt!"
Unfortunately due to Leon lacking in his own kind of transportation he needed to take public transit. With a disappointed huff, he accepted the fact that he needed to have his own kind of ride, question was where to find it, or where to buy it. Either way, they had to take a plane, which wasn't so bad, to Africa and a Bus to Egypt. Get off that bus and get on a tourist bus in order to get to the Valley of Kings. Not to mention he had to take all of this shit back. What annoyed him wasn't taking all the transits he was pretty fine with that. The fact that the Academy pretty much helped their entire way here, but it was the people. The tourists on this bus gasping at everything every which way. It was sand! All of it, miles and miles of sand! And they were taking pictures of the sand! This is gonna be a long day...
Hopefully when they get there they wouldn't have to look to incredibly hard to find this Kishin, unfortunately though he didn't have Soul Perception so it might take them a little while to find it. Suddenly a little kid peeked up over the seat flashing a camera light directly in Leon's eyes. He needed to stay calm, he was so excited about this trip when it first started... now he was hating it. He needed to get hsi mind off of this... talking... talking would be an excellent change of pace. "So.... whatcha think Milo? Do you think we'll be able to handle it?"

``EMILIO;;&& royal pains (srm)
Ugh... buses were absolutely annoying. Especially with all of their bumping around and their crowded nature. It was disgusting and hot. Two things that Milo just couldn't stand. He sat in his seat hating every minute of the ride. It was almost unbearable and he could remember giving Leon a little bit of a hard time about getting on it. He felt like taking over the wheel and throwing them all off a cliff. Of course their were No cliffs around them so he would have to deal with the drive anyway. He cursed softly to himself and pulled out his laser pointer and started drawing things on the ceiling. He wanted to do more than that, but there wasn't much else to do without getting into trouble. It wasn't like walking down the street or doing it in his classroom.
He sighed softly as he listened to the loud silence. Loud, because so many people around them were talking, silence, because he and Leon weren't talking at all. Though, neither of them were starting a conversation and Milo wasn't about to start it. Especially when he was upset like this. If Leon wanted to talk then it was fine with him, but he himself didn't really know what to say off the top off his head except to rant or whine which he didn't yet feel comfortable doing in front of Leon. Not that it was his fault or anything.
The kid's camra light was almost a-last-straw moment for him, but he closed his eyes and held himself back with as much energy as he could. How did he manage to get himself into this horrible, hot, and sticky mess? Maybe there was a hall pass that allowed him to get out of it. Probably not, and he couldn't leave his miester alone to clean up all the mess, but he really missed the academy at this moment, though he knew that he would regret thinking that sometime soon.
Finally Leon spoke and Milo let out a giant puff of air, it was then that he realized that he had been holding his breath. Wow... really? he thought to himself and went back to listening to what Leon had to say. He was asking him a question. What did he ask again? Oh yeah. "So.... whatcha think Milo? Do you think we'll be able to handle it?"
Milo looked over at him with a blank look. ”Handle it? Your with me kid, of course we can handle it.” He said as sarcastically as he could. It was a bit difficult, given the situation he was in, but he managed it anyway. ”Besides, we need to get used to eachother anyway. I mean, your the one landing the blows. I'm just there for support.” he winked playfully, but then rolled his eyes and banged his head against the head rest about three times. ”When will this nightmare end? I feel like I'm about to fall into the pits of hell.”[/blockquote]

It was easy to tell that Milo wasn't exactly having the time of his life, actually if anything quite the opposite. Leon knew how he felt and completely agreed this was pretty bad. He hated being crowded by people he didn't know, let alone stupid tourists such as this group. Although looking around it seemed that they didn't mind being trapped inside of hot bus filled to the brim with other random people. Maybe it was just the fact that they were from the Academy and had the knowledge that they could be attacked at any time. Leon took a sigh, "Ignorance is bliss... huh?" Hopefully Emilio would understand what he meant whenever he said that, if not then he would have to explain it whenever the mission is over.
It wasn't long before Emilio answered, was he really waiting for him to initiate a conversation? Just how long had he been waiting for him to talk? Heh, guess they were pretty much alike, with that fact that they didn't like people really. He wondered if it was just as difficult for him to make friends as it was for Leon. ”Handle it? Your with me kid, of course we can handle it.” Leon couldn't help but laugh, even if he could practically feel the sarcasm dripping from his voice. Probably... the biggest problem that he had... was this Kishin egg, he never fought one before and had no idea what kind of creature he would be up against. Thankfully... it was stated in the mission description that it was a weak Kishin egg.
”Besides, we need to get used to eachother anyway. I mean, your the one landing the blows. I'm just there for support.” He was right they did need get to know each other better that way their wavelength's would mesh easier, they were already compatible but if they were to get stronger than they already were they needed to get to know each other better. "Heh, too true. I am your Meister and you are my Weapon. But my father taught me to never take your weapon for granted, always appreciate him/her for allowed you to use their power. Because in the end, it's the weapon's power that allows us to be powerful." The basic teachings of his father echoed in his mind. During his training whenever his father was around and not away on missions. He would teach him some of the makings to be a strong Meister.
It was only Milo who interrupted his thoughts, ”When will this nightmare end? I feel like I'm about to fall into the pits of hell.” Leon laughed, but unfortunately couldn't say anything, why? Because it was the same for him too.
Thankfully it wasn't to long after that when the bus finally stopped, the door opening, and the driver getting on the loud speaker. "The Valley of Kings." It only took a split second for Leon to stand up, and no doubt his partner would be right behind him, especially with how they both felt on that damned bus. He was the first one off the bus, stepping onto the sand at the entrance of The Valley of Kings, stepping out of the way he began to stretch. "Thank Shinigami! I don't know how much longer I would be able to handle sitting on that bus... I'm just dreading the ride back..."

"Heh, too true. I am your Meister and you are my Weapon. But my father taught me to never take your weapon for granted, always appreciate him/her for allowed you to use their power. Because in the end, it's the weapon's power that allows us to be powerful."
Milo glanced at his miester and laughed tightly, but good-naturedly all the same. He liked this kid already and knew that he had chosen the perfect partner. Finally the doors opened and Milo followed right behind his partner being the second person out and not letting anyone from behind him to shove past him. Anyone who tried was sure to be skewered. Reaching the outside of the bus Milo collapsed to the ground all dramatic like and kissed it. Then quickly pulled away and began wiping his face off. It had been then that he realized what a stupid idea that was. "Bleck Bleck Bleck!" He said as he cleaned his mouth. "Remind me to never do that again unless I'm on a clean side walk or something.""Thank Shinigami! I don't know how much longer I would be able to handle sitting on that bus... I'm just dreading the ride back..."Oh dear... He had completely forgotten the ride back home. And that was something that Milo had decided he was going to completely refuse. There was no way he was going to get back on that bus. He turned to Leon with wide eyes and hands that waved in front of him. "No, no way, you know what I'm doing on this mission? I'm finding us some new transportation. You keep your focus on the keshin and I'll get the transportation." He was joking of coarse, well... he was partly joking. Sure he was going to focus on the mission, but there was no harm in searching for something else right? Suddenly there was something at the edge of his vision that caught his eye. Automatically he spun to see what it was. His trained eyes searched the tourist littered streets for what had caught his attention. His expression became hard as he searched. It wouldn't have caught his attention if it wasn't suspicious. Nothing was there though, absolutely nothing. He searched the crowds attentively. Something was wrong and for once he couldn't find it. The first thing Leon saw when Milo got off the bus was him collapse to the ground. "Milo!" He began starting to get worried. But a smile crossed his lips when his weapon started kissing the sandy ground. Soon realizing that it was sand, and then spitting everything back out. Leon couldn't help but laugh at him. It was loud and heartfelt, and it took him a while to calm down afterwards, choosing Milo as his weapon... was a good choice after all he was funny and he seriously needed a good laugh, if for nothing else just to ease up on his nerves. Now he didn't feel so bad about the mission. He wasn't as nervous or edgy, he knew there was a reason he agreed to being his partner. Their Soul wavelength's really did match, closely enough any ways.
"Remind me to never do that again unless I'm on a clean side walk or something." Leon's face was practically beaming with enjoyment, you know maybe he really could trust him.
"Clean sidewalk or not, I would suggest you didn't kiss the ground no matter where we are." His hand shielding his eyes from the sun, he took a long look around, there was... plenty of open sand. Hopefully the Kishin Egg wasn't out there just randomly lurking someone. Hopefully it's actually inside of the Valley of Kings. Fortunately it was actually a modernized society around the area. Buildings, shops, probably a hotel if they took long enough to actually need it. The Academy no doubt went ahead and reserved the two a room if they so needed.
But his thought process was interrupted by Milo waving his hands in front of his face, Leon's smile turned into a quizzical look, even drooping his head to the side a little. Finally he had made it clear. "No, no way, you know what I'm doing on this mission? I'm finding us some new transportation. You keep your focus on the keshin and I'll get the transportation." To be honest Leon completely agreed. He didn't like the bus just as much as Milo did, but what other way was there for them to take?
"Fine Milo you find us some other form of transportation I'll focu- Hey! What's up?" For no reason Milo turned towards the bustling market street filled to the brim with people. Did he see the Kishin egg? Leon put his hand on his weapon's shoulder, "You okay Milo? What's up?"

His mind was so focused on finding out what had passed his eye sight that he was totally unprepared for Leon's hand on his shoulder. The action freaked him out and he reacted quite negatively. He flinched and swiftly spun around to face Leon with wide, alert eyes and claws extended, ready to defend himself if needed be. When he realized it was Leon he could feel himself relax a little bit, but the panic that washed over him didn't go away. He had definitely seen something. Something that wasn't quite right. Though why he was spooked by it was totally beyond him.
"Uh... sorry... Total accident." It took him a moment, but he remembered the words that came to his ears the moment Leon touched his shoulder. "hmmn... No, I'm not ohkay. I swear I saw something suspicious in the corner of my eye. But now I can't find it. I don't even know which way it went. And I know its just going to drive me crazy. It... It might have been the kishin egg. Actually. I'm pretty sure it was the Kishin Egg. But..."
He paused in the middle of his sentence as he recognized his next feeling. Someone, or something, was watching him. Once again Milo scanned the crowd of tourists. He felt sick. Dude... What is your problem? Its supposed to be a week kishin egg. It should prove to be quite easy for you. Why are you so worked up over it. Not to mention your showing WAY too much emotion. Your showing your fear. Stop it!
Quickly, Milo pulled his eyes away from the crowd and set them onto Leon, a smile once again appearing on his face. "Eh, actually, I take that back. It was probably nothing." He relaxed his body and began to walk in any random direction. He walked purposefully and loudly, as if he was trying to get everyone's attention. All the while he searched the crowd for any strange movement, or person who didn't belong. Or someone who belonged maybe too well.

Nothing in the world could prepared Leon for what was about to happen next. After he placed his hand on Milo's shoulder the weapon quickly turned around claws extended as if ready to attack. Eyes wild and panic ridden. What was wrong with him? It wasn't hard to tell. Soon after Milo's claws turned back into fingers and the wild eyes went away but the panic didn't. What exactly did he see? It must have been something scary enough to spook him this badly. Maybe it was best... just to let it go.
"Uh... sorry... Total accident." Yeah you better be sorry asshole! You nearly stabbed me with those things. But..."
Leon's eyes widened quickly. So that was it huh? The Kishin egg was near? His eyes suddenly started scanning the around around them searching for anything suspicious or out of place. The Kishin egg could be anybody or look like any thing. If he had soul perception he would be able to use that in order to find the damned thing. But unfortunately they were up the creek without a paddle. Guess they just needed to find it the old fashion way. What was strange was... that his father could use Soul Perception, maybe it was his hidden potential or something...
There was a long awkward silence between the two while they thought it was Milo that broke the silence. "Eh, actually, I take that back. It was probably nothing." Oh! He's trying to pull that now? Uh huh, yeah right like he would believe something like that. He was on his toes, and nothing Milo could say change that. He trusted his weapon yes, but it still didn't change what he thought he saw. Then he decided in walking in a completely random direction.
Unprepared for the sudden movement Leon had to run in order to catch up to him. Straight ahead the way they were heading was the market, hustling and bustling with people. "Be prepared to transform into a weapon at any time." He muttered before they entered the crowd. This was probably a Meister's worst nightmare, being completely surrounded by potential Kishin egg's just waiting to attack and consume your soul. The two entered the market, people in standing yelling at the people passing by about their product they were selling. One particularly caught his eye, grabbing Milo's wrist as they strayed away from the road. They were met with a man selling small trinkets, mainly for tourists. There was a small bottle of sand with the words Egypt on it. "Milo... you wanna go to the Hotel for today? Yes Sir I would Like this please." The man spoke in a strange accent but finely accepted their money before giving Leon the bottle of sand he wanted, stashing it in his pocket.

Milo was happily strolling along, minding his own business when Leon grabbed his wrist and pulled him toward one of the shops that sold little trinkets for souvenirs. Milo rolled his eyes sarcastically as the miester let go of his wrist to pay for a bottle of sand. It was one of Milo's rules. Never get involved with the marketers, because he knew that he would have a hard time getting away from their convincing words and he didn't want to get into that. Instead he turned to drown all sound from his ears and began to rely on his sight. As he waited for his friend to finish something caught his eye.
It was a child. One of about seven years old. His skin was a pale white so he figured that he might be a european tourist or something of the sort. But either way there was no one else of his kind around him and he was walking towards an alleyway all by himself. That didn't look good. Not at all. Then he saw a hand come out from in the allyway. It was old and dark colored, but the boy took it anyway. Something about the picture seemed off. Maybe it was the black, entranced, expression that the boy had on his face, as if someone had put a swinging watch infront of his eyes and hypnotized him.
As the hand drew the boy into the alleyway Milo's heart began to race. It was then that he caught a whiff of the smell of rotting flesh. Without thinking much Milo spun around, tugged on Leon's arm and took off running, pushing through the crowd as fast as he could. He didn't even look back to see if his miester was close behind. He continued to push through the crowd until he reached the alleyway where he found the child standing in front of a man with a sickle. He didn't really pay attention to anything else other than the child who was about to get sliced for dinner. Thinking quickly he pulled out his Nettle claws and sliced the air with them calling out "Sonic Wave!" just as a four thinly sliced waved of energy left his metal fingers and raced out toward the kishin, whom stubbled back in surprise at the new comer.
Milo raced over to the scene and grabbed the boy away from the monster, hoping to Death that Leon had arrived as back up by now.

Buying sand might be a trivial thing, but his friends would never believe he had been to Egypt otherwise. He stuffed the small bottle into his pocket. The merchant tried to sell him some other irrelevant trinkets but soon found out his words were falling upon deaf ears and began calling out to other tourists to buy his wares. Leon was a bit busy inspecting the sand inside of the bottle lost in his own thoughts.
Although he was quickly jarred from them when Milo nudged his are and called his name there was a sense of urgency in his voice, hand to be something important. Leon look over towards his weapon but he was already gone and hustling his way through the crowd. "Milo!" But he was already gone. What was wrong with him? Something that Leon must have not been able to see. Stuffing the bottle into his pocket, chancing after his weapon.
Unfortunately the market street didn't understand his urgency and refused to get out of his way. Pushing and shoving was how he got through, as he went through the smell of everyone together, with the hot sun, and humid sweat... everyone stank. As well as he was pushing he way through he heard a pot smash against the ground. Hopefully nobody fell down because in the kind of street they would most likely get trampled to death.
He finally made it to the other side, taking a quick scan of the area he saw he weapon run into an alleyway after someone... or something. Was this the Kishin egg? Did he finally find it again. Taking a deep breath he chanced after his weapon into the alley way.
Upon entering the alley three things filled his senses. The stench of something rotting filled his nostrils. Secondly, the sound of his weapon using one of his ranged attacks "Sonic Wave." So he had to be fighting against something. Then thirdly, a... mummy? Holding a sickle stumbling backwards away from a transfixed child. Was this the Kishin egg? That was a dumb question, unless it was a guy cosplaying as a mummy this had to be the Kishin. "Milo. Weapon form, let's go!" Let's hope this Kishin was as weak as the mission description described it to be.

Feeling quiet upset with what his first kishin was like, Milo stared at the monster. It was not only ugly, but it was also gross. Yuck! He could smell the rotten skin. Ew! Gross. This was worse than some horror movies. He lifted up his hand to plug his nose then set the kid aside, whom made no response at all.
"Milo. Weapon form, let's go!" At his miester's voice Milo came back to reality and turned to look at him. He nodded, a serious expression on his face as he picked up the kid and laid him on the ground. Then he turned back to the monster, ready to turn into his weapon form. But what he saw wasn't the monster anymore. It turned into Desmond. Milo stopped dead in his tracks. This was a trick. This was a trick. This was a trick. He told this to himself over and over again trying to snap out of the dream that he could feel taking over his mind.
Desmond was missing and now he was just suddenly standing right in front of him? He couldn't move suddenly. Everything around him blurred and he could only see his former mentor standing in front of him. "Desmond..." he muttered in shock. "I thought you had died..."
His mind clouded with a soft mist and he couldn't think of anything else. For a moment he really did feel lost in a dream. When the man in front of him suddenly lifted his hand to call to him he suddenly remembered about his mission to stop the kishin with... someone. A person. A friend maybe? This was a trick. Desmond was gone. Disappeared. He closed his eyes tightly and that was when the whole world once again crashed down onto him. He heard his name being called.
"Yeah yeah," he said lifting his hand to his aching head and glancing at the kishin egg that was once again ugly. "I heard you the first time." And he transformed into his stiletto form, slipping into Leon's hand. Then he gasped softly with exhaustion. "Don't worry about me Leon. Just fight the ugly bastard. Thats the important thing right now. I'll be fine. And... I'm talking to much. I don't really know what happened. If you see someone you know, quickly remember your mission and you should soon wake back up again. "

Leon watched Milo as before he transformed into a weapon he moved the boy out of the way before the monster and meister fought. What was with him? Was he not scared... then again his eyes did kind of look glazed over... maybe he was sleep walking? During the middle of the day? Pfft, Yeah right. Maybe he just got his kicks out of being this close to danger.
With everything out of the way, Milo turned towards Leon then the monster about to transform but once again... did not. What was up with him? Watching the Kishin to seemed to be focusing on something... Leon walked closer to Milo, trying to see if something was wrong. "Milo? you-"
"Desmond..." This took Leon aback slightly... Desmond... who the hell was Desmond? "I thought you were dead." Okay... now it's a dead guy named Desmond. Was he hallucinating? Leon waved his hand in front of Milo's face, quite unsure of what to do. Then altogether Milo came back to us, quite unsure of where he was originally but he did indeed comeback. Finally transforming into his weapon, fitting into his hands nicely.
Performing a small flourish of the blade, performing a slicing motion in front of him, preparing himself for battle. Milo began speaking once more, Leon looked down at his weapon listening to what he had to say. What did he mean by if you see someone he knew? And of course he would be okay? He was with his meister now, and they were about to kick some ugly Kishin- ... Dad?
As Leon looked away from his weapon he saw his father in front of him. His father walked closer to him. "Dad.... what are you doing here?" Question was, what was he even doing there? He looked down at his hands, examining the stiletto in his hands. Why was he holding a blade? He could almost feel it in the back of his mind, while his father stepped closer. He was here with... someone to kill... something. Was it his dad they were supposed to kill? How could they ask him to do that? This was his own father...
Now his father was directly in front of him. Leon slowly blinked, he felt so... sleepy. He looked up to his dad... something was off about him. Where was his best friend? The one who was at his side no matter what. His, what was the term? Weapon... yeah his weapon. Ah, that must be this Stiletto in his hands his weapon... what was it's name again? Emilio...?
That's when everything came back together in full circle, his father quickly changed back into the kishin egg, the weapon in his hand once more had significance and he did indeed remember their mission. The kishin egg wound up, swinging the hulking part of his bare hand, swinging it at Leon.
With Leon just coming out of the dazed stage wasn't able to react in time in order to dodge, so took the full force of the attack to the chest, sending him flying, out of the alley across market street, and crashing into the stall that he had just bought his trinket from. The Kishin egg walked out onto the Market street, opening it's mouth with those awful teeth and that dreadfully long tongue. The civilians took notice of it immediately, began screaming and ran away. Leaving Leon to struggle out of the rumble himself.
Pushing a broken board away from his body, he took a deep breath trying to get oxygen into his lungs, that blow had knocked the wind out of him... and fucking hurt too. "Ugh... Shit that hurt... You're gonna pay for that!" The kishin's only response was a roar scaring even more civilians.
Leon scrambled out of the broken stall, the salesman underneath of it all most likely knocked out from cushioning Leon's fall... there was no soul so he was, or would be fine. Leon dashed forward, the kishin swung his sickle directly at the meister. But he was prepared for that. It was a horizontal cut, in order to cover more area. Leon jumped once high enough to dodge that blade and went straight for the chest. Wielding Milo forehand, stabbed the Kishin as hard as he possibly could. The blade sunk into the Kishin easily, causing blood to spurt everywhere, plenty of it covering Leon's clothing.
Leon pulled the blade out of Milo and backed away just in time for the Kishin to make a grab at him and missed, planting his hands firmly on the ground. With the Leon saw his chance, he dashed forward once more grabbing stepping foot on his hand. Running up his arm, jumping and twirling the blade in his hand to wielding it backhand, stabbed the Kishin in the head, sliding down his back, cutting the bandages that covered the man.
Leon fell to the ground turning around to see the effectiveness of his tactic. The bandages were cut, but no blood, damn he must have not cut deep enough. He switched Milo into his other hand, his hand glowing a bright blue as he charged up his soul gun. The Mummy began to shake the cut cloth off, eventually shaking them all off and revealing his true form. A decaying zombie of a man with a fucked up chest, and a twisted sense of appetite. Leon pointed his soul gun directly at him finished fully charging. "You are one ugly son of a-" A thin blue beam shot from Leon's hands quickly closing the gap between the two. They weren't that far apart to begin with. he was close enough to smell his putrid breath.
The blue beam once again hit the Kishin in the chest punching a hole through it's body, blood and body parts splattering everywhere on the ground. The body fell to the ground, broken and defeated, imploded on itself to reveal a Kishin egg soul...
Bending over his hands on his knees breathing heavily. It was getting difficult to breath... especially with that shot to the chest. Now that the battle was over he could feel the deep pain from inside. Hopefully nothing was broken, and hopefully Spade was okay. "Bon apetit..." He muttered to his weapon.

``EMILIO;;&& royal pains (srm)
There was a moment of Silence from his miester, and Milo became slightly worried that Leon hadn't heard what he had said earlier. It didn't take long for him to snap out of it though. Automatically, Leon started battling the rotting monster the moment he had awoken. Though throughout the fight, what bothered Milo the most was the fact that Milo had become worn out after waking and Leon had not been. But he pushed it from his mind so that he could focus on the battle.
As the soul lifted from the ground and shimmered in front of them in all it's evil glory. Milo shifted back to his human self and stood in front of the blood red soul. He eyed it slowly and took it in both his hands. For some reason it was beautiful to him. It was no longer dangerous. Nor did it smell. It was harmless. But, in pain. So much pain.
