Not sure how everyone feels about it. If there's something that needs worked on or something that just needs thrown out let me know here.
And be honest. We're not in fourth grade.

This is probably just me looking from a "professional" stand-point so keep that in mind as I go over this. First off: It's too busy. Too many unnecessary effects. I find it mildly frustrating when people make their text links change size when you hover over them. It pushes stuff around when it doesn't need to be pushed around. If you absolutely have to have it, make sure that anywhere it's used has a consistent, fixed size, so when the text changes size it does so without displacing anything else on the page. I also don't like the all-caps on thread names. Area names? That's fine. There's really no need to force caps on thread titles. If you're dead-set on the all-caps look, then I recommend using a font like this one. Some of the fonts are also WAY too large. In particular, when you're actually in a thread. We already know what thread we're in. We don't need to be reminded with 30px font sizes. I'd recommend something around 15-18px, so it's still larger but not enormous. Last thing is the minor nitpick. I like seeing things centered. All that empty space on the right just bugs the hell out of me. It looks unbalanced.

Alright.
I admit the links are waay too large. I keep meaning to change them but I keep getting distracted. The font you linked is pretty, I'll try that out. As for the thread titles for some reason they're read as category titles so when I edit them in the css it changes them as well. In other words, to change them I'd have to change the entire thing. What I can do is remove it completely.
As for the center thing I don't think I'll change that. I can move the board a bit to the right but not completely. If more people have an issue with it then I will but not until then. Thank you Gunner. :3

From a design standpoint, I don't think the changed font looks very good at all. It doesn't match well with any other design element on the skin, and everything's very visually pleasing until you hit the font and it's like "oh. it's so. meh." Like yeah, it's readable, but so was the font before and I don't think anyone else had issues with the font itself, and now that we've seen how the proposed font looks I think it'd be much better to stick with what we had before.
And since trying to follow your suggestion about the thread title means no thread links period in the title, I think in this case it's just something to get used to? Because I don't think it's worth making it so that now to access the thread from 10 Most Recent Posts we'd actually have to go through the boards themselves. I honestly see all caps in titles as a complete non-issue to have to go through all that trouble for. Really.

That's really funny, because I thought the skin was nice until I looked at the Latest Threads ALL CAPS EVERYWHERE and on EVERY single link. All I did was offer an alternative that had the look of all caps but didn't look like everyone on the forum left their caps lock key on. It's also pretty annoying for links in regular posts to be a different font and size thank what someone's typing in. There's no reason for it, and I think it looks hideous.

Thing is, out of all the feedback people gave about the skin, NONE of them mentioned anything about not liking the all caps in titles or the headings. None of them. They were total non-issues for people, and it's not like they were hesitant to say something about the skin because they freely gave out their thoughts about everything else that Pip went ahead and fixed because they brought it up. So I don't think it's worth putting on a huge inconvenience on everyone just for 1 person.
And I mean like I'm not seeing why any of the stuff you brought up is an issue. All caps in titles works because they're titles. You're supposed to read them, they get your attention. No one's going to look at this site and go, "Oh wow these loony people left their caps lock on all over the place", so...? And with the link thing, I haven't heard anyone else say that it's an annoyance, so if trying to change that also changes a ton of stuff that people don't have issues with, then why do it?

-coughs- Let me advert attention else where! I understand that a lot of older rpers dislike this new age of proboard board design so I spent yesterday whipping something up for people who might not be too keen on the current skin. Gunner, if you dislike this skin then I suggest when I finish the skin I am working on that you put this skin up. You can do so by editing your profile.
