Saturday in Death City meant that the majority of students were out of the dorm houses, and enjoying their weekends out. If they weren't staying inside advancing their studies, or wasting their time with a video game, they would either be shopping or hanging out with friends in the "outside world". Some had left the city to undergo a mission, many of which would go to "fun" places and enjoy their weekend there. Some of the more troublesome students would be terrorizing the citizens of Death City, their acts ranging from petty annoyances, to criminal acts.
One of the minor troublemakers, Rick Fader, would be doing no such thing. Instead, the blue-haired Autonomous Weapon would be hanging out at Death City's arcade. The weapon, garbed in a gray and yellow t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, blue and white sneakers, a hat matching his shirt, and a pair of fingerless gloves entered the arcade. The scarred teenager made a b-line towards the coin dispenser, inserting a five dollar bill to start himself off. The weapon grabbed the twenty coins in his hand and pocketed them, walking over to an arcade machine with a mock-pistol.
Three credits later, Rick pulled the gun from its holster, and fired it towards the screen. After a short cinematic traveling through a zombie-infested, rundown mansion where medics scattered about, control was shifted to Rick, in the role of a pistol-wielding detective. The Demon Chair blasted his foes with his handgun, heads being reduced to bloody fragments, firing the gun away from the screen in order to replenish it regularly. Standard zombies, animals, slugs, strong zombies, chainsaw zombies, they all fell just the same to his bullets.
Eventually, the game met its end when Rick had been defeated by one of the bosses. However, the run was a good one for the most part, having gotten a decent way through without having to insert more credits. But instead of inserting more and continuing on, the weapon put the gun back, allowing the timer to reach zero, officially ending what he had started.
Instead, Rick decided to try his luck on some fighting games. Rick found a vacant machine, and took one side of it, inserting four tokens in order to gain access to it. While he was waiting for someone to join him, he would play the single player ladder, taking out his opposition quickly, but with some struggle on cheaper opponents.

Mocha stood in front of a clear glass staring in past her reflection. Her red hair was a tangled mess of red unbrushed locks and white clips. Her thin fingers were wrapped tightly around the joystick to the machine. She moved it carefully than mashed down on the big yellow button. The claw moved carefully down wrapping securely around a big blue cat stuffed animal. As it raised sadly the cat dropped from the claw. Mocha gritted her teeth in response and stomped her feet like a frustrated child. She angrily pushed in more coins focused on getting the blue kitten. She closed her eyes for a second wrapped her fingers around the innocent key chain and began moving the claw again.
The opening of a door not so far away made the small girl jump though and as she turned to see who walked in her fingers hit the button. She watched the boy with blue hair slip over to the quarter machine and insert some money. He seemed harmless enough, but her attention was taken from the boy and she heard the plop of a stuffed animal. Mocha turned around and carefully reached inside only to pull out a green bear. It's yellow eyes staring at her. Mocha muffled a scream and dropped the bear, only to silently stare at it after.
It would be a waste of money if she left it. Her brother always taught her that was a bad thing. Besides it was kind of a blueish green, so it was green-green right? Reluctantly Mocha picked up the stuffed pair that almost matched the size of her torso. It's soft fur brushed against her fingers, and it really was cute. Any normal girl would be all over it but the color just made her stomach knot. Oh well, she could always hide it in her closest under a bunch of clothes. So Mocha slowly walked away to the fighting games leaving the blue kitten behind.
Most of the games had kids mashing at buttons with no room for her. Than she found one with only one person at it. The same person that had caused her to get the green bear. She preferred playing alone, but she had nothing better to do. All the other games were taken up now. Mocha shuffled her feet and slowly pulled herself to the boy. He was taller than her, everybody was. The thought that she could pick her up and throw her made her shake and she held to the bear for dear life. “D-do you mind if I p-play with y-you?” Mocha barely got the words out as she stuttered and tripped with every word.

Before the girl would make her way to the blue-haired weapon, he would be locked in an intense struggle. His next opponent was one of the cheapest characters, and a nightmare to face off in, especially in the arcade. The first round went terribly, with Rick being beaten back brutally by the cheap opponent's spam tactics. However, round two was a surprisingly easy victory for him. The third round itself came down to the wire, spam attacks once again allowing the opponent to lower his health down to the last bar. But just barely, Rick had successfully delivered the final blow, winning him the match.
After finishing the current round of gameplay, having overcome the annoying opponent by the skin of his teeth, someone approached him. As he looked down, he saw a significantly shorter girl with messy red hair. The thin boy passed her by while grabbing coins, seeing the girl operate the claw machine. Judging by what was in her arms, it seemed that her effort was fruitful.
The shy-looking red head stuttered as she asked if she could join him. The Demon Chair, having been satisfied with his accomplishment, grinned. "Knock your fuckin' socks off, sister. . .", he told her, his tone friendly despite the blatant use of profanity. Rick moved himself away further from the player two area, making room for the girl.
"I was starting to get bored with playing alone anyway. . .", he mused out loud. He then waited for her to insert her credits in order to join him. He would be using the same character he started out using, a solid character that didn't have cheap tactics, but relied on the knowledge and skill of the player being them.

Mocha shrunk back a little bit as he spoke. His tone was friendly but the words were not. It didn't matter, she could play a game now. She moved in front of the player two controls and set the bear on her feet. She slipped in the coins and stood again, fighting her bangs to get them away from her eyes. This caused one of her older clips to free it's partly and dangle in front of her eyes. With a sigh she ignored it and chose the a character. It was a female one, looking more like she belonged in an army than on this game. Happily the girl had no green on what so ever and Mocha remembered being able to easily beat the game with this same character.
After Mocha selected her character she waited for the game to start. Her mind was closing off the noise and she was recalling the combos for the character she choose. Memorizing them quickly for later use as she fought the boy. The door opened again and she had to fight not to jump. It broke her heart to be like this. The last person she had played a game with was her brother. She could still hear his happy mocking voice as he beat her. With the same two characters that had chosen.
In her mind she was back there. Pouting as her elder brother teased her. His dark blue hair sweaty from hours in the hot arcade. So many people were there, yet it had to be him. The door slammed open and he walked in. No stop thinking about it you'll just in up in the same place. The strange man pointed the gun at her screaming at the top of his lungs that he was gonna shoot her. Mocha had been frozen in fear, but her brother flung himself forward. Knocking into the man and wrestling with him until he was shot right in the chest.
She could still hear her brother's angry voice screaming at her. This is all your fault! You had to go to the damn arcade today! You couldn't wait to go another time could you! For God's sake I wish you had never been born! If it wasn't for you and you being sick we would still be with Mom and Dad! He would still be alive right now. Just get your shit and leave damn it!
Mocha had never had the chance to defend herself. To tell him that she had been the one dragged to the arcade that day. It didn't matter now though, she was going to prove her brother wrong. She was going to find a weapon and get strong. She was gonna make a death scythe and be better than he ever was. He thought she could be nothing but damn she was gonna be better than anybody he could name. Mocha's eyes snapped open right as the game begun, and her eyes had a soft glazed pissed of look to them. Se looked pretty determined to beat this guy in a video game.

Rick watched as the sweater-clad girl dropped her prize at her feet. She then inserted the credits into the machine. Meanwhile, she was fighting with her hair, which caused one of her clips to malfunction. Rick paid no mind to this, however, and simply waited for her to select her character.
Finally, she selected the token military chick. However, before she could confirm her selection, she seemed to be in a state of deep thought. While she was apparently lost in thought, the clock to allow for them to just get started ran out. The map was selected for them by the computer. And after what seemed like an eternity, the two finally got started, Mocha coming back to reality as the match started.
Rick started out in the usual manner. His character took a defensive stance, jumping back and blocking. Thankfully, the girl's work was pretty impressive. That time that seemed to be used for refreshing herself mentally on the combos was paying off. The two of them fought equally for the most part, exchanging combos and other such attacks, taking of their health bars slowly. Eventually, they both brought each other to the very last inches of their health bars. However, it was Rick who claimed the first round in his favor with a final attack.
Round Two had begun with Mocha's character getting back to her feet, both of their health bars regenerating to full.
(Sorry if it was a shit post)

Mocha had lost that round but they were on pretty equal ground. She didn't allow herself room to pout as her character pulled herself back up. Mocha took a deep breath and prepared for some serious button mashing. Maybe if she pulled a continuous chain of combos out her ass he wouldn't be able to get a hit in. He might just block all the hits until her fingers cramped up though.
Mocha decided just to test her luck a little bit and used a lot of combos to whittle away his health. That with a lot of movement of running and jumping she was able to keep her health up pretty good. She eventually beat down his health until she won. Mocha allowed herself a second of pride and his character fell. Her character looked kind of proud too with her winning stance.
The guys character pulled himself back up and the health bars slowly flickered to full. Going from red to green. It was time for the last round and Mocha was pretty confident she was gonna win. Maybe she would spoil herself to some coffee and cake later to celebrate.

While he had won the first round, he had realized that they were pretty even. Hell, before he could claim that win, it went down to the wire. Both were at the every edges of their health, and any successful hit would win that round for them. In that instance, Rick managed to hit her first.
However, the second round was hers. She had started out strong, pulling off a combo that severely got his health down. And while he could try to recover, the damage was done. She had managed to finish him off while only losing half of her health. But Rick wasn't angry at this development at all. So far, she hadn't been cheap in her tactics. The combo itself was good enough in his eyes, something that took some skill. If she were to look at her opponent, a grin would be found plastered on Rick's face, an intense and excited grin.
The third round played out like the first for the most part. Rick and Mocha were pulling off combos against each other, whittling down each other's health bars. Once again, she managed to pull off a combo that got him down to dangerous amounts of health, just like the second round. However, Rick himself had pulled off a combo that had gotten her down to dangerous amounts of health. However, unlike the first round, where he got an attack off first, she managed to get him first, winning her the match.
Rick's facial expression was not one of disappointment or anger. No, he was extremely happy with the result. Even though he had lost, he had found someone legitimately good in Death City, and without being too cheap either. If anything, he wanted to play this red-headed girl more often, though preferably not in the arcade of all places. If anything, playing her online or if she were up for it, at one of their houses would be cheaper.
"Holy fuck! That was fuckin' awesome!", exclaimed the weapon happily. "Oh, I'm Rick Fader. . .", he told her as he extended a hand for her to shake.

Mocha grinned, it had been awhile since she had played another living creature. It was good to know she wasn't getting rusty, and that she had somebody to play with now. It was too bad all her games and their systems were still in japan. She didn't doubt that her brother sold them already. All she had was her laptop with a couple MMOs. "Oh, I'm Rick Fader. . .", Mocha looked up at him calmly with a little smilie.
“Mocha K-koori,” She replied as she shook his hand. She had happily forgotten about the creepy green bear, though she still seemed to remember she had to grab something from down by her feet to take home. After shaking Rick's hand she grabbed the big stuffed bear. She looked down at it for a second before holding back a sigh. Oh well, it was going in her closet and staying there soon anyway.
