Takashi was never a man for sports. If he was asked to chill with his friends every now and again, he would hang and do whatever they wanted. Given his frame you would think that he would at least do well with agile sports such as basketball and track. Unfortunately, he never put any ambition behind his actions and his interest in the stuff didn’t fly very high. As he headed toward the park, a thought struck his mind. Maybe trying out another sport might help him to clear his mind and bring his physical stature back up. Weights and gyms were one thing, Takashi didn’t think there were gyms here anyways, but good old repetition through a personal schedule of training never seemed to have negative effects for him.
As the boy stepped into the park, the realization dawned on him. Wouldn’t he look weird going up to random people and deciding to ask them to play a sport? That was akin to what a stranger might do when asking a kid for a piece of candy. Eyes moved to and fro in the park as a bench was sat down upon by the brown haired Meister. Fingers gently slipped through dark strands, and eyes came to a close behind his glasses. Great, did he really make that trek out here all for nothing? Well he couldn’t say it was all for naught. After all, he had a goal in mind and he was going to stick to that. Thoughts flooded his mind about his life and he tried to calm them down, preferring to keep everything out of his head that was going to interrupt his goals. He hated being distracted; hated people with ADHD even more so.
Getting up from the bench, Takashi moved himself to the area of the park that held the basketball court. He had numerous friends that played the game, many who broke the stereotype that only black people played. Takashi somewhat despised that stereotype, understanding it but hating the racial context. Stepping onto the empty court, his eyes came to stop a basketball just lying there. The orange ball seemed a bit damaged but when he picked it up and bounced it it moved up into the air. It nearly hit him in the face for that matter. Bending down and lifting the object up, Takashi jabbed his glasses onto his face and started to dribble. It was an easy art when picked up and not something too hard to take care of. Running as fast as he could, he lifted himself up off the ground and slammed the ball into a dunk where his body wasn’t facing the hoop. Watching the ball roll across the ground, the thought that this might actually be fun crossed his mind.
