At first it felt strange. A sudden rush of what must have been freedom, but still the power bond of their souls gave her what was necessary. That huge surge of power flowing freely between their divide seemed to make all the hard work and time look worth it. Like many, many Meisters and Weapons before them, the two had shown each other their weaknesses and their strengths, and the trust they had between them. While she had never given up hope of one day finding a Meister who could tap into what power she had hidden away, part of her had feared otherwise. It felt like this could have never been possible with any other Meister, no matter how skilled they were or how much more they had in common than the mutual friendship and bond both she and Theron shared. In the same way it felt like maybe he needed her just as much to be able to be all he could, and in the end that’s what they’d both signed up for.
Over numerous and tireless hours of training, Nova had gotten used to the natural flight of her Chakram form. She trusted enough in her own second nature to guide herself back to her Meister in a complete circle. Yet something about this was different, like she was no longer on a set course that she was, as a weapon, to abide by at all times. It escaped her, she couldn’t work it out even though it was almost as if the Resonance required her to be thrown. Concentration was never Nova’s strong point but she been able to concentrate enough to summon up a Resonance then she was more than likely able to be able to control it! Maybe after she’d worked it out, it too would become like second nature to her if only she could find out. She’d only just left Therons hand and her brain was spinning into an over drive. There had to be something else…
It was then, as she began to focus on her own movements in flight that it became so stupidly clear. It didn’t seem to require a lot of effort, like most of it had already been done. To Nova’s surprise, or rather, ‘delight’, the Chakram’s flight path adjusted according to her own will, with a decent amount of speed: enough to do lasting damage with freighting accuracy. It was almost like that break every Weapon wished for, or most of them anyway. Nova had always spent the fight in the back seat. With this Resonance she was able to bring her fight out, feel part of the team, like she was contributing to more than these blades. A sense of usefulness filled her soul in that seconds, and she smiled as brightly as her soul.
The pronged and sharpened blades travelled with speed incomparable to what she had owned before, darting about through the trees, snapping the branches clean away, light flooding the floor of the forest as the sun began to set over Death City, spiting the colors of fire high above Shibusens tallest spire. The blade could have passed for almost invisible at some points, were it not for the odd ray of light reflecting off the metal surface, for a second made to look like a diamond. Though this couldn’t last for ever, and if she wasn’t trying, then it was probably Theron with the hardest job, and she was beginning to make herself feel dizzy. With Godspeed she decided that she belonged with two feet on the ground, and started hurtling towards her Meister with what appeared to be no stop. She was too happy to just return to his hand in ‘the good old way’, rather deciding that, with metres to spare, she would transform into a fast travelling human Nova, giving Theron what she would have deemed ‘one of her biggest hugs ever’ and tackling them both to the ground chuckling like a school girl, disregarding how awkward he might have felt having his flatteringly dressed partner laying on his chest, smiling at him.
”That made the hours of training and studying and lectures seem a little less of a nightmare!” By the time she’d finished the sentence, luckily for Theron, Nova was sat on the ground by his side, still smiling like an idiot, roughly rubbing her knuckles into the top of his head ”I knew something needed knocking into place in that head of yours!” Nova was too happy to think about how other serious this situation had been only a couple of minutes before had.
She’s just succeeded in her first Resonance. Now if that wasn’t something to celebrate about then she didn’t know what was.
OOC- Y'know whats sad? This was finished at exactly 12:15...OR 15 MINUTES OVER WHAT I PROMISED DDXXX

(OOC: xD That's okay; you can usually tell that a post is going well when you write more / take a bit longer than you expect. And a very good post indeed!)
It was the strangest thing. Caught somewhere between instinct and guesswork, at a place deep in his being where intuition wove itself into a spiraling dance with thought, the nature of the Resonance grew -- not simply became figured out or finally made sense, but grew, like a seed long planted blooming suddenly to life, something that had always been there... yet never in its finished form. This... this wasn't just something he was doing; it was part of him, as much as thoughts and emotions and memories. This Resonance existed on an intrinsic level, and the more he focused the more natural it felt. The the flow of power out of him was as natural as breathing...
... and seeing Nova, in this new form, flying and dashing freely about with such speed and grace, now THAT was incredible!
Theron was so caught up in the awe of the moment that he didn't quite recognize that the chakram was coming back towards him suddenly. And by the time he did, she was already glowing.
"Nova?"
Then suddenly his world was a tangle of bodies and vertigo as the Demon Chakram tackled him head-on, bringing them both to the ground. Dazed and confused, he looked up to see her smile and sit beside him.
”That made the hours of training and studying and lectures seem a little less of a nightmare!”
”I knew something needed knocking into place in that head of yours!”
He blinked up at her, still sprawled out on his back... and then cracked a smile. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious, and what they'd accomplished...
Suddenly, he couldn't help but laugh at himself.
"I guess it did!" He admitted, chuckling. Suddenly he couldn't remember ever feeling so... so free. He sighed contentedly and sat up. "Thanks for doing the knocking; I can't believe... I mean, we did it! Resonance, real Resonance!"

For a good few moments Nova's heart was still pumping furiously in her chest, the last of the adrenalin yet to dumb down out of her system. You really couldn't help but smile. Something like a Resonance was a sheer and clear milestone in a partnership, especially when it really meant blood, sweat and tears to finally be able to pull it off. It was nice to have the truth though, too. To know Theron wasn't just blowing his own horn wearing the fancy attire, cape and all. It was weird at the same time, knowing he was a Prince of sorts. Nova was a normal girl, nothing exciting about her. She'd lived in a normal house with (relatively) normal parents. He'd led a completely different life, and yet he saw something in her that no one else did. In the end though, he was still the person he'd always been. Prideful, brave, intelligent and awkward at times.
People could argue with her all day about how much better they thought their partners where, but in the end they'd all be wrong. They may have been able to get through Resonances easier, cleared whole hordes of Kishin's without ruining a nice shiny Toyota and a door, but that wasn't what made a real strong-bonded partnership. Nova refused to give up on him and he refused to give up on her, no matter how rough things got or how dark they may have looked. That's what built the strong foundations of a lasting partnership. The trials they faced and how they got through them. The Demon Weapon sighed to herself light-heartedly.
It also meant she could take the piss out off him whenever the opportunity arose.
When Theron started to laugh himself, sitting up, Nova just starred at him with a worried look on her face, a bit exaggerated, true. The atmosphere in the air around them grew relaxed and light, like the stress had vanished or never existed. Though it was nice to hear him laugh, as he rarely seemed to, it was an opening to poke some fun. The worried expression turned into a beaming smile after he spoke. "Woah, hold your horses sugar puff!" She laughed at the nickname she'd thrown at him, it seemed to amuse her to no end. "I thought I'd knocked something into place, not out of it!" She tended to act a little worried or freaked out when he started to get a little bit happy. Sarcasm was in her nature, due to copious lengths of time spent around Jack and Co. Though she smiled at him all the more. Somehow, she managed to gain his eye contact.
For more then enough time to be considered dangerously awkward, her eyes just looked into his, almost unaware of the fact. Before, of course, she picked up on the dangerous levels of awkward and looked away, managing a laugh, threatening the awkward from the air somewhat. "I'd ask you, leech I am, to get me my dinner, but, alas, I have a puppy back home, probably chewing up my shoes...so why don't you just walk me home instead, there's a good boy.". She turned her head on her shoulders, relaxing her gaze on him so it wasn't of the awkward stare variety. Still, she was worried about that puppy...and her shoes.

He followed her example, awkward laughing and a quick glance elsewhere following the extended mutual look that passed between them. What had come over him? It suddenly struck the young Romanian how much he was just letting himself do and say whatever popped into his head; maybe it was the relief and euphoria of success, but it was a dangerous thing to not keep a personal reserve of self-control. He breathed in deep, refocusing himself, becoming "professional" again... at least, somewhat. Whether it was what they'd discussed or the Resonance itself, something definitely felt different.
"I'd ask you, leech I am, to get me my dinner, but, alas, I have a puppy back home, probably chewing up my shoes...so why don't you just walk me home instead, there's a good boy."
"Certainly." He said, standing and dusting himself off a bit. "It would be poor form not to, especially after I called you out here in the first place."
Trying to keep everything casual, he reached out a hand to help her up to her feet while inquiring. "When did you get a puppy, by the way?"

Nova took her partners extended hand, he pulled her up from the ground where she had been sitting, and he'd agreed to walk her home. She smiled to herself. Just like a Prince. Once again Nova took it upon herself to copy his Aristocratic behaviour like a few times before, and she gave a little curtsy. Once stood up, she brushed down her clothes. "Oh not that long ago, I'm actually surprised I didn't tell you, after all, Schrödinger does like to follow you now and then." Ahh the fluffy white cat that had both played a part in the meeting of Theron and her, as well as her Family Christmas was like a secondary pet to her.
The Demon weapon picked up her bag, shoving the apron into in before throwing the strap over her shoulder. She nodded to his pile of books "I had no idea you carried a Library with you." The girl smiled. "But yeah, a puppy Shiba Inu. Since I got my apartment I've wanted a little companion of sorts." When Theron had finished packing up his Library, she started to walk back out of the forest and into the park, which was pretty much vacant apart from the odd person or two. "I'm guessing your little furball has been with you a while, he seems pretty close to you. Even for a cat."
The pair chatted idly on the way up to the Student Complex, the streets of Death City just as quiet, the Sun starting to snore as it fell behind Shibusen's spires. Peace seemed to fall around Death City as night began to grow in on the City. Sometimes it was weird to Nova. She remembered when the Madness was a menace, and you were afraid to walk the City itself alone. It was scary and even if she couldn't remember it all, she remember the battle between Ashura and the Shinigami well. The Spartoi as well. It was just another well kept secret that she, one day, hoped to rank amongst them.
The walk wasn't a long one, as they soon found themselves standing at her front door. Nova pulled out the key for the door from her bag, "Right, the moment of truth." She grinned, the door clicked as it unlocked and the Chakram swung the door open...
At that moment there was a loud screaming noise as tiny orange and white ball of fluff ran out of the door, tail wagging as it ran around their feet, taking even Nova by surprise, but she was smiling all the same. Nova managed to pick up the excited puppy and it began to lick her cheek, the Weapon just laughing. She turned to Theron, smiling. "So yeah, this is Fox." Nova held the small dogs paw and moved it in a waving motion. "Say hello Fox." The puppy just starred at Theron, tail wagging. Looking in through the door, it didn't look like anything had gotten ruined, but that would require further 'inspection'.
Nova put the puppy down towards the apartment and the Shiba trotted back in out of sight. "Off to sleep on my bed, no doubt." Nova chuckled before she turned to face Theron again, and smiled. "I guess I'll see you in class tomorrow, yeah?" It was obvious, yeah, she would see him in class tomorrow, they always did. No doubt they'd need to inform the teachers of the new Resonance for records and other such things. Nova's smile softened, a small silence before she hugged her Meister. "...Thank you, by the way. For...showing me what I...we, can do." She stepped back inside the door. "Goodnight" She said, smiling, as she closed the door, not wanting to keep him from other things he might have on his list to do. On the otherside, Fox had come back, and starred at her with big blue eyes, and she smiled back. "...Your a piece of work you are."
