The similarities continue, as Jacob sees it. While Ren was certainly not the titanium-hard "nut" to crack that Amaya was, there did appear to be that same lack of motivation that the Demon Revolver had when they first met. Much like Amaya, Ren just needed a push in the right direction. As the laid-back Meister continues to lead the two Weapons through the streets, his hands went into his pockets as his face turned blank. He was in his "advice giving" mode now, something that Amaya recognized immediately.
The Meister then lifted the hand on the side of Amaya and pointed his thumb towards her. Amaya knew what was coming next and lowered her head just a little bit, wondering just how much her partner was about to say.
He left that hand out of the pocket for now, but lowered it to his side. So much was left out of that, much to Amaya's relief. Still, the dual-themed Weapon didn't really consider them as being anywhere. They were still behind people who were far younger than them, and she knew it was all her fault. It made her head lower just a little more, and her partner immediately picked up on it and patted her on the head once before returning his hand to his pocket.
Amaya lifted her head back up, happy that Jacob had acknowledged their lacking position and at the same time reassuring her that he wouldn't leave her alone again. Despite the warm feeling, she still wasn't smiling much. She felt like hugging him, but that would be embarrassing for both of them in front of someone else. Instead, she turned to talk to Ren again.
"It's not just about how powerful you are, attending Shibusen is something people like us need to do so we can learn how to control outselves and function with the world around us."

"Amaya here is a pretty strait-forward Revolver, she didn't think she'd get anywhere either, but here we are."

"We might be behind the younger students, but we keep at it, for her sake. Amaya's had a rough time and I'll be here to help her the whole way, as long as she'll have me as her Meister."

"And I trust Jacob with my life, so I'll help him fight evil as long as he wants to."
