While it is evident that there are many people who can ties shoes...It is also evident that there are people who can't tie shoes! However...We have to understand the fact, that shoes once didn't exist...Meaning that once they were invented, there were only a small amount of people who knew specifically, how to tie shoes...
Now that you've thought of that...Look at your own feet. The way you tie shoes, might be a lot different from the person next to you. Even if they use the same technique, there are those tiny, and unique differences in the lace, once you do tie them, and it's common to see a reoccurring pattern!
The same goes for any other task! Some people can write, and other people can't write...but that doesn't necessarily mean they can't learn how to write. So that means it is the same for role-playing! Everyone RPs differently, and while we all may use the same style, we tend to be better at certain things, or have our own unique way of doing it! No RPer, or their method is the same, just as with people, and their shoe laces!
So...As a way to get to know each other, I think that, while we do see it in our writing, we should post things that we notice about ourselves as individuals! It's a way that we can grow, and learn. Especially when it comes down to understanding ourselves.
For one...I like to have clever and witty(Stupid, and ridiculous) names for each of my threads. Also...As you all know...My writing is flawless, and beautiful. (OHGAWDTHATISFRIGGINHILARIOUS) Finally...If you've been paying attention, my character's tend to have some sort of ridiculous attribute, and in the beginning are rarely serious. If they are serious, they still have some awkward quirk, that I make ridiculously noticeable...This is probably due to my own Insecurities coming out through my roleplaying...In a sense, I have low self-esteem, but instead of bottling it up, I create something ridiculous, or useless to push through it for me.
