Despite being here at the academy for awhile, she had yet to explore the full contents of the school; mind you, some were off-limits to beginning students such as herself or students all together. However, the young brunette had stumbled across an odd, to say the least, forest. To her it seemed to be the kind of thing you'd see in fiction, in fantasy novels. It was a mix between a forest, with odd shaped trees, and a pumpkin patch. She'd seen many pumpkin patches in her day, she'd gone to a few when she was young child.
Alyss had a shoulder bag across her chest, miscellaneous items inside but a particular book that had many sketches inside of it. There was already various sketches of the school and Death City all together. There was also a small, unfinished sketch of a man.. the man who had brought her here but of which she had never seen again. His face was unfinished because she couldn't get the details right, couldn't remember them. She had walked into the forest only far enough so that she was surrounded on all sides by the forest, but could find her way out again.
Sitting down against the base of a tree, she took out her sketchbook, flipping past the unfinished sketch of the man and finally to an empty page. Taking out a pencil she started to draw the strange features of this forest. It was quiet here; a little bit too quiet for her liking, but it was also peaceful as well. She supposed that people most often didn't visit this place (perhaps due to the tale about a witch living here, of which Alyss had not heard).
Peacefully drawing, only the soft sound of the strokes of her pencil upon the canvas could be heard. However, after awhile of sitting there and drawing her drawing about one fourth the way done, an eerie cry could be heard from deeper within the pumpkin forest. Alyss suddenly looked up, a bit spooked. It seemed a bit like.. a cat crying, but was also along the lines of a scream. A small chill was sent through her body as she thought that she should probably get out of here; since she was alone and a little afraid. However, the small Meister that had developed inside of her wanted to find the source of it... If she was to ever face Kishins and Witches, she shouldn't be spooked by something in a forest. Even if it was a creepy forest on school grounds..
Standing up, putting her things back into her bag she headed further into the forest, a little bit headstrong. But, what was she going to be walking into?

The pumpkin patch forest was not a place Rick had visited often. Sure, smashing pumpkins was fun and all. However Rick had better things to do in Death City, better ways to get his sick kicks. So why was the Demon Chair in the forest of all places? Why, to get some much needed fresh air of course. Ever since he had started his training to find a new way to fight, he had spent the majority of his time in the school. If it wasn't direct school business or eating, Rick was in on the training grounds, trying to find a way to be effective without needing his left arm.
The weapon, garbed in a yellow and gray t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, hiking boots, fingerless gloves, and a baseball cap matching his t-shirt, slowly walked along the forest path. So far, he hadn't seen too many people around, just the way he liked it. He really didn't understand why he didn't take walks here more often. It was a peaceful location, with few people traveling through. Though most were scared of the rumors of a witch, Rick really didn't care. Hell, until it was proven that it was a witch, Rick liked to think it was none other than that annoying cat Blair.
As Rick walked along the path, he started to reflect on his training. So far, hand to hand training wasn't going to well. As he feared, his left shoulder's lack of mobility had caused him to become more vulnerable. Until Rick could recover, he'd need a more long-ranged approach to things, or just the use of better ambush tactics. But considering that climbing was shot, ambush that required him to scale buildings was most likely out of the question.
But before Rick could further dwell on that, he heard a strange sound. It sounded like a cat crying, yet screaming at the same time. Though Rick was hard to scare due to his experiences, it certainly snapped him out of his state of thought. "Fuck. . .", muttered the electric chair as he pressed on.
As Rick continued through the forest, he spotted a familiar face. He recognized their hair and uniform of the girl in the distance. However, it wasn't until he got closer that he had a better idea of who she was, further confirmation that it was a student he had run into during lunch, before the incident.
"Alyssa?", called out Rick, a tone questioning whether or not it was her. He wasn't close enough to see her eyes, after all.

Black boots stepped over various brush and vines as Alyss made her way deeper into the forest. Curious eyes looked around, but what was she looking for? Her hand placed itself on the rough bark of a tree as she stepped over a vine not wanting to destroy it. Alyss had the type of soul that was sort of one with nature; she felt at peace around nature, even in a place like this that was a bit spooky.
She wondered what had made that odd noise, mind you the thought that it might be a Witch didn't cross her mind. So, she pressed on.. curious, a little determined but also a bit wary. Ever since she'd come here it felt to her like she was living in a fantasy world but with the classes she'd developed a kind of sense that made her a bit wary because of all the things that could be lurking around such as Kishins or Witches. However, at the moment she didn't realize it; the sense was on more of a subconscious level.
Even though she was a little wary as she walked further into the strange forest, she would be a little surprised to see someone in particular. As someone called out her name, the young Meister would jump as she was a little startled by hearing someone call her voice. Looking up ahead her red-brown eyes spotted the blue haired boy. It only took her a moment to recall his name; Rick. She stepped forward a bit, "Rick.. Its a surprise to see you here," she'd say, growing closer to him.
She remembered the boy from when she had sat across from him at lunch that one day. She smiled softly; though the thing about the noise still picked at the back of her mind. Then there was the cry again, a little louder than before and it lasted for a few more seconds, echoing through and around the trees. A small shiver was sent through Alyss' body, though a small wind blew her hair.
"Did.. you hear that?" she asked Rick, a little frozen in place.

The girl seemed startled as Rick called out her name. However, her eyes locked onto the weapon, the same eyes he recognized from their prior meeting in the cafeteria. The smaller student took a moment before speaking up. She then slowly started to step up to the weapon.
"Rick.. Its a surprise to see you here,", she responded, stepping closer to him. To be fair, it would be a surprise for anyone to find the Demon Chair in the forest. After all, he was usually in the city, especially in his apartment or the electronics shop whenever he wasn't either in school, or making trouble somewhere in town. And having been training for several weeks, he hadn't taken up a daily job in the shop for quite some time.
"Yeah, I'm surprised to see you here as well. How have you been?", he asked her as he gradually drew closer to her as well. He also remembered that meeting in the cafeteria. How he did nothing to prevent her from leaving the table. Though he thought about reassuring her that what she had to talk about was perfectly fine, that he was the same way before testing into the EAT Class, or experiencing his first kill, not that he thought she could also be bloodthirsty as well.
However, that sound from before had returned. Louder and longer than before, Rick stopped dead in his tracks to look around. Rick could also feel the small breeze of wind, tossing his hair around a bit. "Did.. you hear that?", asked Alyssa, who was frozen in place. "Yeah. . .", he replied, a cautious look formed on his face. Though a part of him thought it couldn't be something dangerous, it never hurt to be careful, what with the occasional Kishin Egg taking post in the city, and especially the forest.
