So you've got your sights set on a main character from Soul Eater, SE NOT, or perhaps an AU from some other series. Here's the layout for the audition as well as a few critical rules to follow.
-Focus on the character. This may seem obvious, but make sure that the character remains the focus of your audition as much as possible. Not the scenery, not the action, not even your flashy / flowery prose as a writer -- stay on the character. Your job in an audition is to not only prove that you're talented enough to merit said character, but that you know and can express their personality, demeanor, and mannerisms better than any other RPer in the forums. An extreme expectation? Maybe. But if you want it bad enough you can do it, trust me.
-NO COPYING! First, copying your audition, in part or full, from a wiki article or other printed source simply will not be tolerated. In academic circles they call that plagiarism, and anyone caught trying to pass it off as their own work immediately forfeits the character, PERMANENTLY. Secondly, if you've roleplayed the character on another forum more than a year ago, PLEASE don't use your old posts as your audition. We want to see your current writing talent and awareness of the character, not what you could do last year.
-Two staff approval needed. This is a solid rule for canons on most RP sites -- it takes the approval of at least two staff members to award you the character after you audition. For reserved canons, this number goes up to three staff and one of them has to be a Global Mod or Admin.[/ul][/blockquote]
Once your audition is approved you'll be given the green light to go ahead and put up a character profile for your new canon. Note that SE and SE NOT canons are permitted to start with all the Abilities, Equipment, Minions, Vehicles, and Upgrades they had up till their most recent appearance in the series. AU canons will be allowed certain concessions for similar "starting gear" based on their origins, though the details will have to be worked out with a C-Mod or other staff member.

(Your audition goes here. Write a full scene -- 500 words minimum -- focused on the character. It can be a casual setting, the middle of a battle, a moment of introspection, a strange dream, anything as long as it (A) strongly expresses the character's full nature and (B) doesn't violate the forum rules.
