((Hate to respond to my own thread... but I feel these two need a bit of documentin'.))
Wyrd
RACE / GENDER / AGE: Human Demon Weapon / Male / 17
APPEARANCE: outlined on the right half of his face. Though a bit on the short side he is "ripped", chiseled biceps and chest muscles visible on the few occasions he takes off his shirt and jacket.
Like all Demon Weapons of the Soul Eater universe Wyrd can take on an alternate form, both fully and in partial. Unlike other Demon Weapons, however, his weapon form isn't exactly a "weapon" -- though one could argue that transforming into a
Erbacher One motorcycle is still rather intimidating. In partial form one or both of Wyrd's hands can become the motorcycle's wheels for devastating up-close strikes or, alternately, he can transform both his feet into the rear wheel and use that to drastically up his speed.[/ul]
PERSONALITY:.[/ul]
SKILLS / ABILITIES / EQUIPMENT:
As mentioned, Wyrd is a Demon Weapon; he was not born this way but rather the product of experiments by the remnants of Arachne's followers. He can freely transform himself both fully or partially into a motorcycle; in partial transformation one or both of his hands can become the motorcycle's wheels or both his feet can become the bike's rear wheel. This gives him a flexible and agile approach to combat that enables him to switch from speed to damage focus on the go. He can also be ridden like a normal motorcycle when fully transformed, though he generally will only let Pariah do this.
Hell on WheelsThe scientists who experimented on Wyrd weren't satisfied just to make a hit-and-run biker -- they wanted to leave a mark, something their enemies would remember. Tweaking the nature of his "weapon" form slightly to harness and amplify the motorcycle's combustion engine proved fruitful, giving Wyrd a handful of fire-based attacks. Not only can he spit small fist-sized fireballs from his mouth, he can also "ignite" the wheels of his full or partial transformation with fire, using it to do scorching damage in melee and kick up a firewall in his wake as a motorcycle.
Her Only FriendOne of the things the Cabal's scientists ensured was that Wyrd would have no problems working together with Pariah -- for this, at least, they're both grateful. Wyrd is immune to both Pariah's Banshee Shriek and the passive effects of the chaos soul wavelength... though, if she really wanted to take a swing at him, both her bo staff and Chaos Soul Purge would work just fine.[/ul]
HISTORY / STORY SO FAR:NAME: Pariah
RACE / GENDER / AGE: Human Meister / Female / 19
APPEARANCE:PERSONALITY:SKILLS / ABILITIES / EQUIPMENT:, Pariah has a very rare, very dangerous type of soul: a "chaos" soul. So named because of its destabilizing effect on the person unlucky enough to be born with it, Pariah's chaos soul is a source of deep regret -- and terrible power -- for the girl. Conditioned mentally and physically by the Cabal's research team to endure many of the breakdowns caused by her soul, Pariah is possibly the only living example of someone who has not only outlasted the chaos effect... but actually learned to
harness it. Normally, her soul emits a passive wavelength -- this not only triggers various levels of opposed psychological reactions (running the gamut from "a bad feeling" to paranoid revulsion, dependent on the psychological profile of the person(s) effected as well as their proximity to Pariah) but also has a curious side effect: it creates a "dead zone". Stretching out to an approximate radius of 150 feet, the chaos soul wavelength scrambles and masks most kinds of ambient spiritual, magical, and psychic energies, rendering abilities like Soul Perception and magical scrying (crystal balls, etc.) useless in two ways. First, anyone / anything within the field cannot be "sensed" by anyone/thing outside the field; second, anyone / anything inside the field won't be able to "sense" anything at all. Other than that, however, the passive chaos soul wavelength has no effect on magical / spiritual / psychic / supernatural powers either within or outside the field.
The chaos soul also has an effect on Pariah herself, seriously reducing her body's ability to feel pain and her mind's ability to experience and process emotions. These two characteristics let her keep fighting long after a regular person, even a strong fighter, would've given up due to injuries, exhaustion, or becoming demoralized.
Chaos Soul PurgeMuch like the standard Soul Purge technique made popular by the eccentric Prof. Stein, the Chaos Soul Purge draws the energies of the soul's own wavelength into a focus on one or both hands, releasing the powers as a kind of deep-penetrating electrical shock upon melee contact. The Chaos Soul Purge is no different in practice... but distinct because of what focusing and releasing a concentrated dose of the chaos soul wavelength results in. This attack, which takes the form of black "electricity" surging on and around Pariah's hand(s), is a fierce blow to take normally... but for witches, Kishin Eggs, Meisters, and Weapons it has the added benefit of "attacking" their power itself as well, as described below.
Chaos Soul Purge is an effective counter to weak or average magical attack spells and barriers, able to break them apart on contact. If a witch is struck while casting or maintaining a spell the spell will be broken instantly (unless some other power is sustaining it).
Kishin Eggs: This attack is particularly vicious against strong Madness wavelengths, causing the psychic interference / fear / hallucinations of the wavelength to be visited upon the person or creature emitting it while briefly stopping the wavelength from effecting anyone in its vicinity.
Meisters: Because of a their strong souls, the Chaos Soul Purge does twice as much damage to a Meister as to a regular human and can disrupt Soul Resonance techniques.
Weapons: In addition to the damage it does regularly, Chaos Soul Purge forces a Weapon to revert to their human / normal form on contact.[/ul]
Additionally, its disruptive characteristics make Chaos Soul Purge a potent counter verses supernatural / energy barriers and supernatural / energy projectile attacks, capable of dissipating weak ones on contact, breaking moderate ones with two or three blows, and weakening strong ones somewhat on contact.
Banshee ShriekPariah's most iconic ability, the Banshee Shriek takes the full nature of the chaos soul wavelength and unleashes it in a screaming shockwave of physical and psychic force. Those at the attack's outer limit of effect, a quarter mile, would feel their soul (or equivalent supernatural component, if applicable) tremble as if seized by a sudden irrational fear -- the closer someone is to the epicenter of this "bomb", the worse it gets. Banshee Shriek kicks up a solid wall of wind sheer that feels like getting hit by a compressed tornado, all while the victims' psyches are assaulted by a nauseous blend of bone-chilling terror, white-hot pain, and vertigo-inducing disorientation. To resist the physical aspect of the attack requires exemplary strength of body; to resist the mental, a mind like a steel cage (or a formidable psychic defense). To be hit with a Banshee Shriek point-blank -- to have Pariah scream into your face -- is enough to kill most people outright before their bodies can even hit the ground. Suffice it to say, the further away and better protected from this attack you are, the better.[/ul]
