The bell rang to signify the end of the day for Shibusen. Students filed out of the building to go home, or just hang out with friends. However, a few of them had stayed behind for their own reasons. Some of the troublemakers were serving one of their many detentions. Others were there for academic reasons, whether to get tutoring, to help with tutoring, or just work, whether to catch up or get ahead of their class.
Inverno was one of those staying behind for school work. Today, other students were handling the tutoring. So he took advantage of his free time by working on a project ahead of time, just to get it out of the way. It was a science project, not his strongest subject, but something he could easily pass given a decent investment and resources.
However, Inverno quickly found himself in need of going to the bathroom. He got out of the science lab as quickly as he could, and made his way to the boy's restroom. After resolving his business and washing his hands, Inverno exited the bathroom, and headed back to the lab to continue his project.

Selene sat down on the ivory floor of the Shibusen hallways, not caring about the students having a bumper to bumper traffic jam in attempt to dodge her protruding foot. She was stumming along to Crazy Train, one of her favorites. As force of habit, she strolled along as she strummed, and finally gave a small hop and finished. She kept her walking, not paying much attention to the hall, but more on her beloved bass. Without paying attention, she bumped into another student, the bass flying through the air and landing with a thump.

Inverno could hear the sounds of someone playing the bass in the hallway. However, he simply continued alone to the lab. This came to bite him as the girl bumped into his back, causing him to fall down, and the bass to fly out of her grip, and hit the ground. At this point, he was more worried about the condition of her instrument, as he was fine.
"A-are you ok-k-kay?", he asked the girl awkwardly, waiting for her to get up.

"Ahhh! Dexter!" Selene screeched, running towards her guitar. She checked it quickly, and found an injury. She shivered, seething with anger. "OI! YOU! YOU HURT MY BABY! Now my boss is gonna be on my ASS when I need to fix it tonight! SOME people have jobs!" She yelled. She opened her mouth to say more, but sighed. "You're going to repay me for this."

The girl shouted at him, to which he cringed. Even though she bumped into him from behind, he wasn't in any position to argue. The Italian walked over to the bass to look at the damage, to which all he saw was a broken string. Immediately, he pulled out two twenty dollar bills, as bass strings were normally around the thirty-to-forty dollar range, especially for decent ones.
"H-h-here you g-g-g-go. . .", he said nervously, extending the cash to her.

Selene looked at the money suspiciously, but grabbed it nonetheless. She wasn't pay much attention to who this guy was, and now that she calmed down, she got a look at him. She could have taken the money and set his hair on fire, yet for some reason, she didn't want to. She looked him over, and now noticed his dress. A short kid, 4 inches shorter then her. But he was suprisingly bulky, probably a miester. "Okay, how about this, its all water under the bridge, but I need some..help with my homework." She said, grabbing her guitar. "Come to the Blackrock Pub at eight, kay?

Thankfully, the girl took the money without any further arguing. The last thing he wanted to do was get into another fight over some mistake. The last time he had gotten into a fight, he ended up breaking someone's ribs and right arm in the process. While it was self defense and supervised, Inverno couldn't help but feel guilty over the matter.
Instead, the girl proclaimed the incident water under the bridge. However, she did ask for help on her homework. But what surprised him the most was that she told him to come to the Blackrock Pub, a place he thought only those twenty-one and above could enter. "W-wha!?", asked the albino, frankly surprised. "B-but I'm only f-f-fifteen. . .", he told the girl.
Obviously, he was unaware of her job at the pub, or her related ability to get him in to help her out with her studies.
"Sending my love on a wire..pick you up every time, everyone, oooo..pulls away...." Selene sang onstage, the onlooker clapping blindly, more focused on their drinks. She finally finished the song, walking off to the bar for a small drink. Not like anyone cared here, though.

The girl assured him that it would be fine, and then walked off. At that point, Inverno walked back to the lab. For the next two hours, Inverno simply resumed his work on his big project. He didn't understand why they had to go to the pub, or if he could even get in. But then, she did mention a boss when she ranted about the bass string being snapped. If she did work there, then someone at the door would probably know that he was coming to help her with her homework. But then, couldn't she have told him to come to her place, or picked out another meeting spot?

The albino Italian meister was surprisingly able to get in without any trouble. The doorman pointed him to where the girl, Selene, would hang out after finishing her performance. On him, the meister packed mostly notebooks and his own text books just in case she had some of the same subjects as he did.

Selene slurped down ice water, her throat burning from her performance. "H-hello." The black clad girl raised her eyebrow. 'He actually came?' She thought to herself. For a seemingly shy and nervous kid, the fact he even came was a surprise. "Huh. I didn't expect you would show. Takes some guts to come in here alone." She said.
She glanced at his books, he prepared a lot of stuff, as if this was really his responsibility. Nice of him to care, she thought. "So..um..sorry for being a bitch earlier. I can get carried away. You seem alright." She held out her hand. "Selene Jagger, at your service."

The girl looked surprised that he actually came to see her. This was confirmed that she said it took guts to come in alone. "Y-yeah, I'm a boy of m-my w-w-word. . .", he told the girl with an awkward smile. Despite his fear, he probably guessed that she might've done worse to him if he had dodged her. But then, the fact that the doorman mentioned her was reassuring to him.
She then apologized for earlier, then introduced herself as Selene Jagger, the same named dropped by the doorman. "I-I'm Inverno C-C-Costa. . .", he told the girl, grabbing her hand and shaking it.

'Wow, this guy is tense.' Selene thought. "Alice-samaaaaaaa!" She shouted. The young bartender walked over, and gave her a small can. "You get one. ONE." She stated firmly. She walked out muttering about "kids in here". She transformed her thumb into a pitchfork blade, and used it as a can opener. "Want?" She said, taking a gulp. "Its not like we're gonna get tipsy, Alice'll kick me out if I'm annoying." She glugged. Maybe he'll relax if just loosened up.

The bartender, named Alice, handed the girl a beer, stating firmly that she only got one. However, what really caught Inverno's interest was the fact that her thumb became a pitchfork. So the girl was a Demon Weapon. And so far, their personalities seemed to clash in some way. So perhaps they could be partners.
The girl offered him some beer, stating that she would be booted out if she got annoying. "N-no thank you. . .", he told the girl with a smile. In fact, he'd rather not end up drinking at all. "I s-see that y-your a w-weapon. . .", he started. "D-do you have a m-m-meister?", he asked the girl.

Selene took another gulp, ending with a content "aahh"
"D-do you have a m-m-meister?" Inverno asked. "No, sir." She said was some sarcasm. "You?"
Selene looked around, and noticing Alice wasn't looking, she grabbed Invernos unused can and chugged it down. "WOOOO!" She shouted, then grabbed Inverno by the arm. "Lets DANCE!" Another band was playing now, and Selene started (badly) dancing.
